BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand on Wednesday confirmed two new coronavirus cases, both of which were imported from abroad, marking 37 successive days without domestic transmission.

The new cases were Thai nationals returning from Kuwait and were found in state quarantine, said Taweesin Wisanuyothin, spokesman for the government's COVID-19 task force.

The coronavirus has infected 3,173 people in Thailand, of which 3,059 patients have recovered. There have been 58 deaths so far, but none for almost one month.

Meanwhile, three patients retirned home after fully recovery.

An image of hysterical laughter at yet another announcement that has dubious association with reality is very much connected to the topic of a government statement re Covid status.!

Wait until the bars open up especially bars on Soi Bangla in Phuket.

Physical distancing please

Bargirls wear facemasks please

The small bars here in my neighborhood (never seen a foreigner there) opened a few weeks ago already, including the girls. Never saw face masks or social distancing there.

The virus is never going to disappear completely, just like all the other viruses that have caused pandemics in the past.  But life has got to get back to normal, even if it's a "new normal".
