The BTS "check-in" thing doesn't seem to be required, or even advertised within stations, as of Friday.

 

Doesn't seem required on the MRT either, as of Friday.

 

In general the mobile app check-in procedures seem very loosely enforced.

 

Many, many, many Thai people walk by my while I'm scanning the QR codes.
