A representative of Thais living in Australian who fell victim to a ponzi scheme run by a Thai person have gone to the public prosecutor in Bangkok to investigate their claims the ringleader is still alive.

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Domestic car sales in Thailand shrank for a 13th straight month in June, dropping 32.6% from a year earlier to 58,013 vehicles, as the coronavirus outbreak hit demand, the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) said on Thursday.

The streets of Koh Samui, one of Thailand’s most popular tourist destinations, are eerily quiet. Along Chaweng’s Beach Road, a usually raucous party area, shuttered shops stretch into the distance.

Migrant labour from neighbouring countries now allowed to return

The Ministry of Labour has been given the nod to allow migrant labour into the country and it has clarified on the guidelines. Department of Employment director-general Suchat Pornchaiwiseskul said that the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) on Wednesday had approved bringing foreign labourers from Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam to work as per the Department’s proposal.

Antavir – a new herbal weapon against Covid-19

Chiang Rai scraps quarantine for Rayong travellers

Chiang Rai province has scrapped the quarantine requirement for travellers from Rayong after tests in the eastern province revealed no locals had been infected by the Egyptian soldier who tested positive for Covid-19 there.

Farmers disgusted with agriculture minister’s performance, demand replacement

BERLIN (Reuters) - A German court convicted a 93-year old German man of helping to murder 5,232 prisoners, many Jewish, at a Nazi concentration camp in World War Two and handed him a suspended two-year sentence in one of the last cases against Nazi-era crimes.

SAMUT SONGKRAM, Thailand (Reuters) - Thai coconut milk producer, Theppadungporn Coconut, suffered a sharp drop in sales after an animal rights groups accused the industry of using monkey labour, an executive said, adding it was auditing plantations to show animals were not used.
