Pattaya: TAT claim "lively" tourism during long weekend saw 90% of hotel rooms booked

Pattaya's Tourism Authority of Thailand representative Pinnart Charoenphon told the media that 90% of hotel rooms were booked out for the long holiday weekend between July 25th and 28th.

PHUKET: The King’s Birthday four-day long weekend saw some 16,000 tourists come to Phuket, bringing a much-welcomed B95 million boost to the island’s economy, reports Napassorn Kakai, Director of the Phuket office of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).

Six returnees from Egypt, Saudi Arabia found infected with Covid-19

Thai finance ministry slashes 2020 GDP outlook to 8.5% contraction

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's finance ministry on Thursday slashed its 2020 economic forecast to a record 8.5% contraction in gross domestic product from the 2.8% growth it projected in January, due to the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic.

LONDON (Reuters) - Anyone who tests positive or shows symptoms of COVID-19 in Britain will have to self-isolate for 10 days instead of the previous seven, based on a low but tangible possibility that people could remain infectious for longer.
