PHUKET: A 29-year-old teacher was killed after strong winds brought down a tree onto staff accommodation at a school in Kathu last night (Aug 2).

LONDON (Reuters) - A major incident has been declared in the Manchester area of Britain, allowing the creation of a "central command structure" to help tackle the rising number of coronavirus cases, a local official was quoted as saying on Sunday.

PHUKET:-- Rawai Municipality workers have sealed off a section of the sidewalk along the Rawai beachfront beside where restaurants have set up their own tables and chairs after three people were injured when a gaping hole opened where a section of the sidewalk collapsed.

Nong Khai braces for potential flood

NONGKHAI(NNT) - Nong Khai province is another critical area where the water level of the Mekong river suddenly increased 30 centimeters in a single day, and is expected to continue rising by another 50 centimeters due to heavy rains in Thailand and Laos. The province is now preparing for a large volume of water from Loei province, expected to reach Nong Khai in 18-20 hours.
