When Vorayuth Yoovidhya crashed his supercar into a motorcycle, killing a police officer, Yingluck Shinawatra was Thailand’s prime minister and few people heard of Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit. At the time, the majority of the world’s population only knew Donald Trump as “Mr Miss Universe”. this was a big show of the corruption that is rampant in Thailand, it is what we have all come to expect. Thailand has different  sets of laws for the rich and well connected  to the rest of the populace, how often do you actually see the rich  charged unless they have upset the hierarchy, usually a slap on the wrist and everything is hidden away
