For whatever reason, there have been examples of xenophobia and anti foreign behaviour by Thais ! It's a proven fact at bars and restaurants! In Bangkok I've experienced it in minor incidents ! The Bus money collector giving a scowl and almost throwing the ticket and change back. The stares when not wearing a mask in open air because most Thais wear them all the time ! ( For no reason ) So let's not pretend this isn't happening . Stoked by certain politicians at beginning of the lockdown in April and poorly educated folk who don't even understand that 99 .9% of farang have been in the country  long before any virus struck! All of this is only proving that the days of foreign Tourism making up 12 or so percent of the country's GDP are over!
