Agent in Bangkok that can provide residency certificate

I've made the 40-minute (one way!) hike to Changwattana 4 times in the past week and a half. Not keen on doing it again. I'll pay virtually any amount of money to an agent who can handle this for me quickly.

Residence certificate is done at Muang thong Thani not at CW.

Simple process. Obtained mine last week.

You need to have done 90 day report.

Can do at same location.

I don't want to go there either...

So do you know an agency that can do it or not?

When I needed a residence certificate for drivers licence I approached well know agent in Bangkok (fatboys).....I asked them to do all and they replied that there is no way around the RC and I need to provide that.

You can obtain one at your embassy but you most likely don't want to go their either.

I'm going (with my agent) to CW later to do my yearly Non-O extension & file my (1st) 90 day report so will ask them if they do Residency Certificates as well & let you know later.

They're a "straight-up" agency who seem to handle everything else, so I would say that if it's possible for an agent to do it legitimately then they'll probably do it.

Will report back in 2-3 hours (Just posting this so I can easily find the thread again later to update)

Mike, currently the 90 day report is being done at Muang Thong immigration.

You will need go there first do your report.

It's not crowded and very quick. Then you can take report receipt to CW and do your extension.

Unless they are allowing 90 day report to be issued at CW for people applying for their extension.

Thanks, the agent is doing my 90-day & I think (hope) that they did it yesterday as they go there everyday doing 90 Day reports / Visa Extensions etc... but either way, they provide transport to/from CW as part of the package so I'll just be lead by the nose ????

Am hoping CW is quiet though, it was crazily busy on this date (I do my extension 30 days early, have noticed that CW will now accept 45 days early) last year but that was around about the time TM30s were a hot topic so loads of people in there doing those.

So I asked & it’s not something they’re asked to help with often but can do it for you though it’s not cheap (2,500 THB if I asked for the right thing), you might want to give them a call to discuss (contact details attached).

They’re based in Soi 24 (3 min walk from Phrom Phong BTS) station... take the Soi 24 exit, cross Soi 24 & they’re in a small arcade 2 mins down the road on your right hand side (photo attached) Up the stairs go to your right & you’re there.

Thanks! 2500 is cheaper than taking another 2 days off work to hike out to CW. I'll contact and hope they can assist.

I obtained one at Muang Thong Thani for 200 baht last Thursday. In and out in 10 minutes.

Wasn't difficult.

Just to confirm...you got a residence certificate there? All done in 10 minutes? (Think I heard re: previous method at CW it was 2-step process: one day to apply, another day to pick up.) Is the place easy to find in Muang Thong Thani? Thx

Unfortunately many embassies don't issue these certificates anymore. There have been many updates in what documents local embassies and consulates are able to provide and income affidavits as well as residency certificates have been culled by most.

Sorry missed your question.

I was not clear. Seeing the io for residence certificate took 10 minutes. You deal with one clerk first and then move to another to check every detail of your address and give you EMS tracking etc. They advise you will receive in 2-3 weeks.

The certificate is valid for 30 days from date of issue.

OK, so it's like before. At least I know where to do it. As of last time I checked US embassy site (a couple weeks ago), they are not doing residency certificates currently due to the virus. Bummer, sort of, cuz it took just 30 min. or so to apply and receive the certif. But I say 'sort of,' cuz it took 3 weeks to get an appointment at the embassy (as of last year or so, which seems ridiculous). So, the only advantage over CW was not having to take a taxi out and back. (Embassy much more expensive than CW, however, at $50/pop.)

I still prefer the US embassy over a visit to my local (Nonthaburi) office in the middle of nowhere. At least with CW you can shop a bit, do your banking, etc...like a trip to the mall...in our local office...nothing but frowns and long lines all around.

They are good, I have used them as well. Straight up agency for Sukhumvitians, no funny stuff. Mostly used by Japanese and Chinese. If you have a problem they will tell you straight up if what you want doing is legally doable or not. If it'd not legal they will tell you they are not interested.

So many people go off on a tangent on this forum because they assume "agent" means corrupt practices.

This agent might be good as a walk-in, but I have sent them multiple emails with no response whatsoever and they were difficult to communicate with on the phone (no Line contact that I can see) so I have given up
