Ivermectin triple therapy, everyone take the drugs as prophylactics.

“Triple therapy specialist Professor Thomas Borody, famous for curing peptic ulcers using a triple antibiotic therapy saving millions of lives, today released the COVID-19 treatment protocol to Australian GPs, who can legally prescribe it to their COVID-19 positive patients. They can also prescribe it as a preventative medication. Borody says this could be the fastest and safest way to end the pandemic in Australia within 6-8 weeks.”

“There is mounting worldwide clinical literature pointing to a 100% cure rate using Ivermectin Triple Therapy,” said Professor Borody.

I think professor Barody should just stick to treating bowel issues as is his specialty. You might want to take some time to read reviews of his clinic.

Wealthy tourists have their Maldives, where the restrictions are minimal and the beaches are, let’s say, a bit better than Patong. ???? Ordinary tourists from “safe” eastern countries can’t afford a 30-day vacation, because they simply don’t have it by law.

Thailand is probably 85% a cheap Charlie destination. How many are going to have 2k. For flights 2k for quarantine 3k for their post quarantine holiday and another 3k for quarantine on return home. 10k for a two week holiday from Sydney.
Any takers?

“The virus won’t go away soon and we have to think about the economy. But we can’t just reopen the borders. We have to be careful,” Transport Minister Saksiam Chidchob said in an interview. “Thailand has a limited budget so we have to make sure we can control the disease well.”

Yet another in a very long series of government officials pontificating on matters totally outside of their portfolios and expertise - maybe he should solve the many problems regarding transport in Thailand before giving his opinion on health and tourism policy.

Quick, let’s book a holiday to Thaicatraz. Some real good deals going.

Quarantine and or gps tracking and I am out for first time in 20 years. Will still pay my annual rent, but the rest I would spend over the 5 1/2 months in Thailand will be spent elsewhere.

do you really think it will be better any where else

If I wasn't in Thailand already, speaking from the perspective of a frequent visitor to Thailand, I would accept quarantine if I could then stay for a reasonably long time and move freely (after completing the quarantine). I would never accept wearing a tracking wristband, that's just way over the top.

Yup, so worryingly limited that the government just approved the purchase of yet another two unneeded submarines.

Just keep the hordes from that Wuhan-19 virus country away--permanently.

gps, are you nuts, why they dont staple the nuts to the bed frame so falangs stay in the quarantine

i think they are just testing the waters here and see if some farangs are really so desperate to come back to be under nazi supervision gps, like a dog

Look, now they get scared as the high season approaches.

They need to distinguish between tourists and long-stayers.  They are two completely different things.  Forget even talking about 'tourism' and 'quarantine' in the same breath.  Never going to fly and stop wasting your time.  Concentrate right now on getting the long-stayers to return--they are the only ones that might be ok with a quarantine as they are here for 3 to 4 months or more.  As a previous poster said, if you agree to quarantine it shouldn't matter what country you are from--allow all the long-stayers in if they agree to quarantine.  For tourism, why not experiment with a few safer countries, use fast testing, and see how it goes.

That make sence . Let snow birds and retirees wich comes from Europe  ,  Canada  , US do quarantine and testing and do like Singapore with closer safer Countries .

Exactly.

And as the median age of a Covid-19 death is higher than the average life span of a human being.........this disease is not a concern anymore.

Sick people, and over 65 should take care..........the rest of the world, carry on as normal.

Time to open borders and just get on with life.

As the news stary bringing ...this nasty critter seems to start likng eat young flesh too....so in certain timing the risk start spreading to younger ages as no old meat enough left over for the virus ...?

As of latest advice on the official "coronaviris.gov.hk" website, all returnees (permanent residents) to Hong Kong are fitted with an electronic wristband, and phone app.

However, one can quarantine at home. But any movement outside is immediately tracked and an alarm set to the phone.

So it IS being done already.

I read a lot on here......Stop worrying about Brits and your money chap....????

Phone app with gps is probably not good enough for Chan-O-cha. They want to sell to the farang newest second hand Chinese surveillance technology.

Hey I have an idea! Let's put all farangs into the new submarines, safe as safe can be. And if they become ill, just let them flush out into the sea.

The government needs to realise,it can't have its cake and eat it too.

The definition of a holiday isn't being released from a 14 day jail term and being tagged.

I'm happy to wear a tracking wrist band...

...as long as it's only for the 2 weeks that I'm allowed to self isolate in my own condo rather than being stuck in an ASQ hotel being charged a fortune.

The phrase 'new normal' should have been a clue.

The phrase "new normal" should be the "new abnormal" as there's nothing normal about the "new normal"!

Locked up in a room ?

No.

Staying in a 5 star beach front hotel, free to use all facilities in the hotel and access to a section of beach/sea.

Sounds terrible!

That is NOT part of the current plan. The closest I have seen, is a plan on Samui to release prisoners from their rooms after 7 days. Then seven more days within the resort confines. Then a release into the island population with a zombie wristband.

All at a very high premium over the ordinary prices of hotels, which are quite low now. Appealing? Not for most. Only makes sense if you are planning on coming here for many months. What percentage of the general tourism population does that represent?

The first thing they need to do is get rid of Pipat, and appoint someone competent. He was in way over his head before Covid. Now?

Then you open up the entire country starting tomorrow, to anyone willing to subject themselves to quarantine. ANYONE from ANY nation who is willing to pay for and endure 14 days of this.

No ridiculous begging of a consulate for permission. That is hundreds of leagues beyond stupid and arrogant.

One covid test result prior to boarding the plane. Then directly into quarantine at an approved hotel.

Zero restrictions beyond that. Anything else is inane, dumb, timid, paranoid, and shows the army to be both totally lacking in concern for the economic well being of the masses, and sadistic.

Get your acts together, guys. Your countries future is on the line. So is the army's.

Either way , no tourist in their right mind is going to spend 14 days in thai quarantine , take 2 weeks on a beach and then isolate for 14 days in return.

These officials truly must be the most idiotic and unrealistic people of the face of the entire planet

I wondered why there was a ban on alcohol while in quarantine.

Does drinking alcohol make you more likely to catch COVID while locked in a room alone?
