Labour should lose its way, but don't get to excited yet, plus the SNP has mainly gained from another lefty lot......

This is being seen all over - labour hemorrhaging votes across the country. With a sizeable number of Labour voters sympathetic to Independence and the left leaning politics of the SNP, they have a natural home there. I suspect that the nats took a similar share of the LD vote too. It seems that many are seeing the SNP as the only party that can keep out the tories.

Why would they want to keep out the Tories and perhaps lose their part of the union via the SNP, then to be controlled by the Germans and pay for the pleasure....:whistling:

I think any suggestion that there was academic concept in the statement is a bit of a stretch.

What there was, was another example of that casual racism we see so frequently from certain quarters, then a cowardly refusal to acknowledge it, not that that's surprising, as cowardice is also a typical trait of said casual racists.

thats it play the race card typical response from a remainer that cannot counter a point, cowardice?in what? not responding to a troll post from someone who,d previously lied ( oxford english dicionary ....lie,to make false statement ) cowardice? we,ll see a bit of that in your forth coming election.

Who can't counter a point? This thread is littered with Brexiteers' insinuations and outright lies, all of them incapable of backing up their cack when pulled up on it so they ignore them, waiting to spew out the same bilge a few pages later.

But if this wasn't a racist remark, what was it meant to mean? Show just how well you can counter a point.

what outright lies?why not point them out instead of making sweeping, insulting generalisations?you,re the one with the  problem with racism the way you keep accusing people of it.still typical response from a remainer, the very best of luck in your bid to become independent and rejoin the eu if your views are representative of the. snp,and i sincerely mean that.

Ducking and diving; anything but addressing the question put to you. Oh well, no bother to me; as you observed, I am willing to point out cowardice when I see it.

still going on about curried goat?i could address your question but in view of your attitude have decided its a troll post, don,t want to,and not going to,i know your little game to get me to react and press your report button and get me suspended again, sorry duckie bitten before never again.good luck with your independence bid ????

Can you point me to examples of hatred from Scots against the English in this thread?

I'm so glad you emphasised this thread.

OK, point some out anywhere on TV, then

Every day, you blatantly see what you want to see a come to some daft conclusions, bit like calling me a racist, yet I have an Asian family.

The old "I'm not racist, some of my friends are black" twaddle.

Having an Asian family doesn't one prevent one from being racist.

Being 'non white' doesn't prevent one from being racist.

Some of the most racist language and attitudes I've heard directed towards people from South Asia has come from Thais.

Translation; anything I don't agree with from my alt right position is lefty pony. Especially when it proves me wrong; as it does so often.

'Academic concept!' What pony.

I know exactly the racist concept of your remark; just wondering if you have the balls to admit it.

As expected; you don't.

Indeed I do; as I say above.

If I'm wrong, doubtless you or he can say exactly what he did mean!

'Force fed' being obvious exaggeration to highlight the stupidity and racism behind kingdong's curried goat comment.

Try as you might, neither of you can weasel out of that.

Go on, you know how much you both love trying to prove anyone who holds views different to yours wrong; so tell us exactly what was meant by the asinine curried goat instead of haggis remark!

Your failure to make even a feeble attempt to do so only reinforces the view that it was intended as an unsubtle racist slur.

why don,t you calm down dear and explain the racism you obviously feel so strongly about regarding curried goat?i.e what is so racially offensive about a simple dish?you obviously can,t grasp ( obviously a by product of continually playing the race card when you,re snookered ) that what my remark really pertained to was the stupidity of scotland attempting to rejoin the eu and the likely reaction of the eu in this hypothetical scenario, the last point reinforced by all the vitriolic comments made on tvf by people who aren,t even resident in the. uk,so just draw a line under it its getting boring sorry i didn,t rise to your keyboard insults so you could report me but fell for that before, now have an early night and a hot milky drink and it,ll all seem better in the morning.

@kingdong, despite your lengthy, condescending post above; you have still failed miserably to explain exactly what you did mean by "hope you like curried goat. Because it won't be too long before it replaces haggis as your national dish?"

The sentiment behind that remark is obvious; you are saying that an independent Scotland will soon be over run by immigrants; pushing Scots into a minority and destroying the Scottish way of life. Especially if an independent Scotland were to join the EU.

If I'm wrong; explain what you did mean.

your first paragraph is answered by your second, your obsession with racism (real or imagined,in your case i strongly suspect the latter )is that  you,ve just posted a thread that completely contradicts itself,i do not wish to converse or attempt to converse with someone of your intellect,so draw a line under it,if my content and having a point of view offends you can only say put me on ignore, well totsiens menjheer, would like to say its been a pleasure, but it has,nt.

"You POSTED "Force fed", THAT was one of your twists to make the post look different, you are a master of twisting stuff, we all KNOW you are a master of twisting stuff, we've had years of it... Sadly you can't see it...????

Who are they, then?

Seen plenty of Brexiteer dislike directed towards Scots who want independence.

Also dislike directed towards the current government by some Scots.

But nothing to justify the above!

You would, it's what you do......????

So if your statement of "hope you like curried goat. Because it won't be too long before it replaces haggis as your national dish?" is not thinly veiled racism then do explain what you meant by such a remark.

The original post you are referring to was 9 days ago and a certain members are still bickering on about it, it is becoming very boring. If you or other members have an aversion to free speech or expression of speech and are hurt by the said comment, why don't you report it to the mods.

How long are you going to string this on for, has it anything to do with the topic?

"If you or other members have an aversion to free speech" followed by "how long are you going to string this on for"? ????

I have no intention of joining your bickerfest, although I do realise how much it means to some members.

So someone posts some thinly veiled racism, then claims its not racism but will not explain what he meant by it and you adopt a position of stop talking about it.

And you are trying to champion free speech?

If you're not happy with it, report it, I repeat that it has nothing to do with the topic.

Interesting to see that it is not only the Scots and Welsh who are reacting badly to this ill thought out power grab from our corrupt and incompetent Westminster government. Jersey tells our corrupt, embarrassment of a PM to get stuffed too.
