Their website has been updated to encourage people to apply early and avoid overcrowding later in the month. The game begins.
Who's going to apply early? Who's holding out for a possible last minute FREE extension?

And they will be open on Saturday Sep 26?

(I read some offices do service on Saturdays?)

A total of 14 regular office days (Mo-Fr) until Sep 25(!).

I am not affected by the amnesty. My one year extension is due on Oct 8.

My documents (insurance) are not ready, maybe during coming week.

I think it will be better NOT to apply early but wait until after Sep 26?

I realize you know this, just make sure your insurance start date matches (or earlier) to the date you attend immigration for your extension.

To my understanding, this simply means a normal 30 day extension without the need to showcase an embassy letter or a medical certificate? So if a tourists would like to extend beyond Oct. 27th that's when an EL/MC becomes necessary?

Was there any news out of the Cabinet meeting today @ubonjoe ?

It is a little to expect any news about it today. Probably 4 o'clock or later.

Only for those on extensions based upon retirement if a OA visa was used for entry.

thx Joe.

I am on a NON-0 (originally) so doesn't effect me

But FYI I have an Insurance and they will pay COST price (so NO limit) I wonder how this will fair with Immigration, "You need $100k insurance", but I have NO Limit Insurance "what does this mean?".

I already see how this will be going when asking immigration

That insurance is only needed for those that are applying for a certificate of entry at a embassy to board a repatriation flight to here at this time.

I assume if you had proof your insurance did not have a limit they would accept it.
