Hey guys  I just want to know  for my COE if I can take 3 month insurance because I will ask a non O single entry to come here , but I will stay 5 month with the 60 days extension

i want to know if I can show to the embassy 3 month Insurance and after I will add 2 month more when I will be in Thailand

or I need to cover all my stay  5 month

thank you

It only has be bo valid for the permit to stay you will get when you enter the country which in your case is 90 days.

So even with a non o multiple entry the insurance only need to cover 90 days right?

Yes

Hi Ubonjoe, sorry not to belabor this, but where does it say about this 90 days insurance coverage requirement? I have not seen this fact mentioned anywhere.

If one were to be arriving on an Elite visa which would be stamped (for 5 years ) upon arrival, a 90 day policy would suffice ? If so, is there a rationale for 90 days specifically? Thanks.

When one arrives on an Elite Visa, a permission of stay of one year is stamped into the passport.

This is what I wrote in my first post.

The 90 days I mentioned is from a non-o visa entry.

Jacko45k,  OK, if the Elite visa is stamped for one year permission to stay, then one would have to have a covid19 insurance policy for $100,000 effective for one year?
