How to legally bring my prescribed Alprazolam and Ritalin from France into Thailand?

Hello ????

I'm currently in France with my Thai Wife.

I was diagnosed in France with High-Functioning Autism (Asperger) and ADHD.

I take Alprazolam and Ritalin daily.

Can I legally bring some in my suitcase on the transit from France to Thailand??

How to make it perfectly legal? Is it even possible?

Also, I would like to bring a copy of the diagnosis of my condition. But it is 31 pages... in French. Do I have to get it translated? English or Thai? Or both? Etc...

We will be back sometimes not before March 2021... if it's still possible to come since right now I understood I can come since we are married but it's a lot of troubles. Or I could come with a visa exemption first... or whatever will be available next year, we can't know the future Thailand immigration laws it seems... since it is already hard to stay updated with the current ones... ????

I think I read that before covid, I could arrive with a one month supply of treatment, with prescriptions, and maybe some letter from some government office in Thailand? I don't remember...

And what if I arrive on a 2 months Tourist visa? Is it still one month? And then I have to get my supplies from a Thai hospital?

And what about the hypothetical 3 months Tourist visa + 2x3 months extensions = 9 months total, that they are supposed to "study" this week?

And what about if I arrive with a non-o "marriage" visa with a first 3 months?

All this is very confusing

Thank you for anyone who helps me find some answers. ❤️

You can't... The only way to make it perfect legal is to obtain import licenses for medicines and pay taxes and still they will give you hard time with many documents and money too much hassle, i get my meds shipped to me from Australia by EMS and declair them to be vitamins but never, never use  DHL or Fedex as theses guys scan everything and hit you with obscene sum of tax and duties...

Contrary to what poster above said, you CAN bring meds with you but by law only 30 day supply. In practice they don't count out the number of pills and could probably get as much as 2-3 month supply in OK but definitely not a suitcase full. I would not try more than a few bottles and indeed do nto transit/transfer through a Gulf country./

Meds need to be in a clearly labelled  prescription bottle and you also need to have a medical certificate with you in English.

You do nto need your full medical records, a one page summary stating diagnosis and what has been prescribed will suffice and this needs to be in English.

There is no visa exempt entry and no tourist visas being issued at this time. To come you would need to get a non-O visa by reason of marriage to a Thai and also get a Certificate of Entry which has numerous requirements including health insurance and quarantine on arrival for 14 days in an approved facility at your expense.

Yes I'm aware I can't come in as a Tourist yet and that it is complicated to come back now even with a non-o.

Anyway I need to wait for April 2021 anyway so we will see then.

I'm just trying to plan ahead about my medicines.

I have travelled back and forth, stopping in Dubai, countless of time, with a quarter of my suitcase full of French medicines and just a copy of the prescription... but I have a bad feeling and want to do it right next year... anyway I think I will just bring a little bit. The minimum. And I will see from there later.

The thing is that French healthcare is SO VERY different than other countries. It's not in bottles. There is no label. It's in blisters. And most French people don't speak English. Even most Doctors. In France, almost everything is in French language. Especially the prescriptions. So it's complicated. Only English I see in France is at the airport and at the back of toy bears where it says "Made In China"... ????

Blisters may be OK if you have copy of prescription but it will have to be in English. Likewisse you will have to either get the medical cert in English or get a certified translation.  Thai doctors almost never speak or read  French.

For Aphrazolam and Quietapine I asked my doctor for a letter with a list and daily dosage. The doctor at Siriraj asked a few questions and upon seeing the letter promptly perscribed

me four months of meds. I recently renewed the script.
