The rich that don't reside in Thailand no longer need the vast majority of their assets protected as they have been cashed in and transferred elsewhere, it could buy a lot of schwarzwaldkuchen mit sauerkirschen.

Grünwald is lovely at this time of the year.

Stop comparing Thailand who supposedly has had no CV19 for 3 months with Europe which is not yet free of the problem, of course that is based on your sweet hearts advice - unless of course be is sprouting load of nonsense.

I didn't compare anything, I replied to the comment from Krabi King regarding Europe and the spike in COVID.  please try to follow ...

I'm worried about you... Did you attend one of the reeducation bootcamps here in Thailand?

Let me break it to you... it will be TENS of thousands out there. And the risk of transmission in the open air will be next to nothing. Pinocchio doesn't know what he's talking about.

Your great leader and his corrupted government have been wrecking the economy so far, so there can only be benefit in trying to get them to step down. Anyone that favours submarines over the wellbeing of the people should see a psychiatrist.

Don't forget to brush up your medals and shoes for this weekend.

Your posting about Europe was absolutely incorrect.  They now have spikes in COVID numbers due to the protest.

Prayut said rallies at this time would put Thailand at the risk of a second wave of Covid-19 infections, which would affect the livelihoods of more than 10 million people and further exacerbate the economic situation. He warned that people should not do anything that would prompt another lockdown.

The prime minister said he has heard protesters’ call for changes, adding, “I respect your opinions, but today Thailand is feeling the pain that we have to urgently tackle first, and that is to mitigate the economic losses brought on by the outbreak. We should not worsen the situation.”

Prayut also warned that political unrest would delay economic recovery, as it would dent investors’ confidence and deter tourists from visiting Thailand once the borders are open. Rallies will also shift the government’s focus from solving economic problems.

He explained that many places are already experiencing a second wave of infections, but Thailand has been able to successfully curb transmissions thanks to the collaboration of related parties.

That's a five-straw clutch right there.

Your information is so incorrect ........  :cheesy:

Coronavirus: France sees 'exponential rise' in cases - BBC ...

www.bbc.com › news › world-europe-53954562

- It was the largest daily spike since 31 March, when 7,578 cases were tallied at the ... (WHO) has warned of a resurgence of the disease in Europe. ... A protest against Germany's coronavirus restrictions was due to take place however it has since been cancelled due to the spike in cases.

Both of these countries have over the past decade have ceased to be European countries, they are more like being in Africa or the Middle east with the disproportionate number of people allowed to settle there.

The numbers of infections seem to affect them more than others, maybe because of a different immune system or the fact they seem to live 20 to an abode...

Another factor is they don't like to assimilate as Europeans do and live separately they prefer to set-up whole communities of same ethnisities, ripe for a virus to spread among themselves.

People say it's climatic... rubbish !

yep, hopping the protesters will go away, and give you and your army friends more time to fill your banks before the mighty fall, which I don't think will be long.

The protests are being driven by the CIA. Prayut's days are numbered.

With any luck the protests will keep growing until they steamroller this Evil man and his group of Thieving Gangsters out of office; an office they stole to start with and then stole again with a rigged election result.   The Thai people should go flat out in removing the worst Government (and that's saying something) the country has ever had, it's time for major change if this country is ever going to move forward towards a better Democracy.

The problem with that scenario is, who's going to replace the leader? Another general. And so, we're back to square one again.

In all honesty it is very simple. If he cares so much for the people and Thailand then he would disband all the regime out from the government and out from all government held entities, and he himself gets out and never looks back. This would alleviate the heated situation he is provoking. He needs to see it is him and the regime, not the other way around.

If there is a second wave of COVID19 transmission from this protest then the organizers and those participants only have themselves to blame. Shame on them.

A second wave of the flu.   Here in Saigon things are almost normal.  Crowds are in restaurants.  Bars are open doing business.  There will be many waves still to come.  If you have a good immune system, you will not be effected.  Hiding behind this is nothing less than sheer cowardice that you are endorsing as usual.

If the big man baby so fears the virus, let him face a debate followed by a no confidence vote.  Let's see if he is so inclined to climb down from his ivory tower.

After that speech by Prayut no prizes for guessing what's going to happen at these protests tomorrow. Under the pretense of a second Covid wave and using the Covid emergency decree which is still in operation, police and the army will do anything they can to prevent a mass protest.

What has happened with that Wealthy Tanathorn guy from future forward?

Who?Oh the guy who won 6 million votes and then was made a criminal and banned from politics for 10 years and his party banned for winning too many votes. He is awaiting the outcome of legal proceedings to see how long he will be jailed for, but that might take a while because they can't afford to throw him in jail just yet.

Who is he trying to kid?

Mob is a choice word to use. Sort of says it all how he looks at them. The risk is not from CV19 but seems is a threat behind his breath.

The  English word mob has been taken up by Thai language to mean any group of protesters. It doesn't have the anarchic connotations of the English meaning. In Thai you can have a mob of doctors, teachers, whatever
