Shockwave File Error

Featured Replies

I am trying to play Shockwave files ..... *.swf.

Both Flash and Shockwave are installed ok reported in the Control Panel.

Windows Media Player says 'security setting will not allow playing the file "

I went to Tools/Options/Security and opened things up to be non restrictive.

But I still cannot play a swf file.

Any ideas ??

Thanks in advance.

No one has had this problem ?

paulfr - You are not alone. Adobe Flash and Shockwave utilities are both known to have "installation" problems, especially in WindowsXP (SP2).

To properly repair a "bad installation", it is recommended you uninstall the effected program using the apporpriate Adobe uninstall utility, then do a fresh reinstall. Downloads available HERE

For info, a similar problem with "Flash" was discussed in this earlier thread: here
