PHETCHABURI, Sept 18 (TNA) — Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha denied he issued a warning on the risks of COVID-19 transmission to threaten anti-government protesters.

The prime minister warned of a new wave of coronavirus disease 2019 through his nationwide address via TV Pool yesterday as demonstrators planned to rally at the Tha Prachan campus of Thammasat University tomorrow.

“Regarding my statement yesterday, I do care about people and did not mean to threaten anyone. All adults must create understanding and take care of their children. Can they cope if anything happens?” Gen Prayut said.

Some fine tap dancing on display by the good general.  Would be worthy of being a contestant on Dancing with the stars.  Keep up the bait and switch and misinformation campaign as well as the military tactic of confusing the enemy by making them believe what you have not done yet has already happened.  Waiting on the Stryker's to go through Bangkok with loudspeakers playing heavy metal during the weekends protests, like we did in Panama to Noriega.

If someone is infected with covid, here in Thailand it doesn't spread to others anyway.

Desperate times for the returner of happiness.

If the students won’t fear me, maybe the parents will.

Further:

I suspect they are very capable of coping and changing things for the better.

Quite possible but likely a different driver at the helm.

Release the Wuhan !!

It was in all the Thailand newspapers like Bangkok Post, The Nation and of course reported here.

Guess they all need to be charged for Fake News, or perhaps Prayut should be charged with Fake News in his denial.

How's the weather in Bangkok today? the other day he was hoping the storm would wash them out

Rained most of the night and this morning it has been rainy and windy, we do have some water. Looking like if this continues the protests might be under water and the Navy can use their boats to ferry people to and from.

May as well smash the airport up big time since the gov don't wanna use it no more.

Destroy it.

It may be the youth movement but there are plenty of older disenfranchised people who have joined the cause.  Looks like the Government has stepped up it's game and has the three area's identified as ringed and blocked off with police units.  Will be interesting to see if this does not turn into a march, but then the Government also has Government house ringed and all gates locked.  Guess they do not want a repeat of when Sutheps clowns broke in during the last major protests.

He cares more about power.  That is why people are protesting.

You cannot have it both ways Thailand either has Covid or it doesn't - Which is it ......?????

Wait for it ... "BREAKING NEWS" ... Thailand records over XXX cases of Covid-19 following the protests ... Prayut C-O commented ... "there I told you so"!

The PM Khun Prayut just confirming what he said. So the organizers failed to listen to the advice about the COVID virus and social distancing and wearing masks and sanitizers and general hygiene, as such if the students do unfortunately get sick and there is a spike in virus transmission cases then it only gives cause to extend the border closures and ban extend to air travel, thus making the economic kickstart harder.

If their is a virus spike the organizers can blame themselves. They don't care about the students health, they don't care that they are doing further damage to kickstart the economy.

Good work by the PM Khun Prayut Chan O Cha, he gave them plenty of advice and warning.
