You would think that they would have more meaningful things to worry about in all honesty.

Economy in tatters, government incompetent and wrongly in power being up there.

At least the unwashed farang spreading diseases didn't get a mention though.

So your solution to manage the stress of everything being expensive,

is to go shopping and buy it anyways?

TIT - the land of oxymorons

I don't know how the poor are managing, all their basic food

is expensive now Pla Tu ,Pork,Rice, some veg.fruit. prices

Yes and you would probably get a similar shallow answer in the developed countries as well. Maybe even more so!

They are not going out to buy Tv's, cars, or other stuff they don't need,

just food for today's meals, with so little income,it must be stressful

when prices just go up a few Baht for them,

Why? Have you ever thought about how many people go shopping with family on free days, and see that as a social and relaxing thing to to? What is shallow with that? I think the only thing shallow here is your way of thinking. I would actually go as far as saying it´s hollow.

Never trust a poll that expresses percentages to 2 decimal places (e.g. 67.76%). It shows that the people conducting the poll are amateurs.

  • Popular Post

That's a joke, not a poll. Sample size 0.00194% of the population...

And why would they be stressed about corruption? It's been a part of life like forever. Most, if not all people use it to their benefit. Some for small things like traffic/ license violations or running unregistered business where they're not supposed to, others for bigger things like getting away with murder

Yep, Thai logic.

Not really noticed any rising prices.

Free government school gone from 0k/term to 6k/term.

Government University went from 8k/term to 12k/term.

Mortgage has gone down from 6.25% to 4.75%

Petrol down from 33bht/ltr to 21bht/ltr.

I actually think things are getting a bit cheaper overall.

The 18kbht/year I save on the mortgage (1.5%) more than makes up for any other increases.

I would suggest that they collated the figures on a spreadsheet and didn't bother (or didn't know to) round the results to a whole number.
