This is link from drudge report  and the report state that national governments not happy with internet being global.

Of course its mainly China and Muslim countries and as globalization thing of past governments want more control.

But it will take some time so be ready.

the usual US conspiracy theories of course.... zombies, walking dead ghost....

The US Republican Party still has it that the internet is a Democrat issue.  It was this mindset that delayed the building out of the net infrastructure during the Cheney years while the rest of the industrialized world was busy at it.

Drudge is about as believable as the person who is at the top of the GOP.

 

Anyway, it's not a new observation, It's been a topic for 10+ years that a new addressing method needs to be implemented.
