I suspected it to be a ruse, but going to the hospital is causing me to think otherwise.  If he would have stayed quarantined in the WH with some sort of bought-off doctor (like Ronnie Jackson), that's what I expected.  With the hospital info is liable to leak out.

On the other hand the info shutdown on the "series of mini-strokes" has been pretty solid.

He has other people around him, some of whom may be slightly smarter.

He needs cash flow from the government to service that debt, which is why he charged the Secret Service protecting him $765,000 for golf buggies, and a further $950,000 for their accommodation while he was playing golf at his Doral complex. That property has a $125 million debt falling due in 2023.

If he loses, that cash flow dries up. Why else would he have fought so long and hard against the release of his tax returns? His creditors can pull the plug any time they want.

In Australia, a bankrupt cannot hold public office. Maybe he is not bankrupt, but he looks awfully damn close to me.

Remember we know that Kushner's family got bailed out of Jared's terrible billion dollar real estate purchase via a sweetheart deal at least partially financed by Qatar. (the source of most of the funding was kept secret)

True actually. For all the horrors that is Trump starting wars isn't one of them. He's aided and abetted dictators and turned a blind eye to many nasties but if there is some credit due it's that he hasn't started World War 3. 

They are both fine. Johnson scared everyone, but he is much more of a slob than Trump.

I don't think so, he is not worth anything to them anymore when he loses. So why would they bail him out? Safer to bet on the next horse.
