You should know by now that Trump's base don't do facts, only alternative facts, as spouted by Trump. He espouses to the theory that "If you tell a lie often enough, people will believe it". In some ways, being VP is a much crappier job than U.S. senator. When you're a senator you're free to be your own person, a real leader. As VP your primary function is to support your boss, the president, even when you don't really agree with her, and of course be ready to take over the job if the president becomes inconvenienced.

 

Most VPs have presidential ambitions. Pence does. Harris does. Obviously former VP Biden does.

 

There are exceptions such as George W. Bush's VP Dick Cheney. He obviously didn't want to be president but he was also granted massive power over foreign policy. 

 

I wonder how much power VP Harris will be granted by President Biden. 

 

Biden was sometimes ahead of Obama on policy issues. Most historically, marriage equality.

IMO the questions were pathetic. Would have been way better to have fewer, better questions and spend more time on answers. They just didn't have enough time to answer or respond. I watched it in hope of seeing the future president of the US, but IMO it was a waste of 90 minutes of my life, in the end.

IMO she comes out of the same box as Hillary. I felt the same dislike when I saw her for the first time on stage with Pence as I did for Hillary in the 2016 contest. Can't the Dems come up with anyone with a sense of humour and some charisma?

It is not totally false, though.

The claim by the Atlantic was confirmed by other media venues. It was 'widely disputed' mostly by Trump supporters, the Trump campaign and Trump himself. I don't think it was anywhere near as widely rejected as you imply.

 

Pence didn't go on about it because he's be of shaky ground. For one thing, Trump often makes comments based on I-heard-that, someone-told-me, many-people-say - which aren't even close to corroboration as the usage of anonymous sources relevant to this story. Notably, you do express much issues with such things when Trump does it. Birther. Pizzagate. Just in case your 'forgot'.
