Seven people found positive in quarantine

The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration on Thursday reported seven new cases in state quarantine over a 24-hour period.

 

The new cases are all asymptomatic and comprise:

 

> A 61-year-old American male entertainment venue employee, who arrived from the United States on September 19 and was found positive after a second test on October 1 in hotel quarantine.

 

> A 45-year-old Kuwaiti woman, who arrived in Thailand on October 5 and went into alternative hospital quarantine for treatment of another disease. She was found infected on arrival but showed no visible symptoms. According to her health history, she was previously infected with Covid-19 in July.

 

> A 25-year-old woman, who came home from India on September 25 and was found positive on day 11 in a Bangkok quarantine facility.

 

> A 23-year-old woman, who returned from the United Arab Emirates on September 25 and tested positive on day 11 in Chon Buri state quarantine.

 

> A 34-year-old female freelance worker, who came home from the Netherlands on October 1 and was found positive on day 4 in a Chon Buri quarantine facility.

 

> A 52-year-old male freelance worker and a 45-year-old masseuse, both of whom returned from Hungary on October 1 and went into quarantine in Chon Buri. They tested positive on day 4 and day 5, respectively.

 

Meanwhile, 48 patients have recovered and been discharged.

 

As of Thursday, the number of confirmed cases in Thailand has increased to 3,622 (684 in state quarantine). Of these, 124 are in hospital and 3,439 have recovered and been discharged. The death toll remains unchanged at 59.

 

According to Worldometer, as of 10am the number of confirmed cases has increased to 36.38 million (rising by 343,517 in 24 hours). Of these, 27.4 million have recovered, 7.92 million are active cases (67,416 in severe condition) and 1.06 million have died (an increase of 5,909).

 

Thailand ranks a safe 139th for most cases in the world. The US has the most number, with 7.77 million, followed by India (6.83 million), Brazil (5 million), Russia (1.24 million) and Colombia (877,683).

So tested positive on day 13 and yet was Covid certificate free before boarding the plane. You have to wonder where he picked it up, in the airport, onboard the plane, or in his room?  This is starting to become ridiculous with all of those testing positive on Day 13, and just being asymptomatic.   Ad to it those that are now found positive again after having had the virus previously.  Could those tests be false positives based upon the antibodies, or just how are they coming down with the virus again in such a short time.  Covid is starting to sound like an allergy to me, it just never goes away and returns when the wind blows.

I would have to agree. Why are so many testing positive in quarantine after a negative result was given prior to flying.

I would also like to know what percentage of quarantine patients are testing positive. Today, seven from how many?

Not surprising really, is it ?

Foreigners have to have all the paperwork and testing, before the flights , yet Thais only get tested on arrival

So you have a plane load of mixed people, with or without tests, with no separation, and they wonder why they find these infections arriving .

500 die on the roads, hundreds die from suicides, plus many hundreds of other deaths, each week, yet they hype up a few infection cases, the majority of which the people did not even know they had this so called deadly disease,!

From everything I have been reading, the PCR test picks up a lot of dead genetic material and renders a false positive and should not be relied upon.  Here's an ex Pfizer guy speaking about it.

And they are considering to lower quarantine from 14 to 7 days 555

 

The language is changing. People now instead of foreigners. 

The numbers are slowly creeping up to reflect reality.
