The Maj-Gen said that he would look into it

And deal with it in the usual manner

Well I looked into it weeks ago, my crystal ball that is, and guessed that is where he would be hanging out.

The Thai police will send a letter to the embassy of the United Arab Emirates inquiring about the whereabouts of Vorayuth “Boss” Yoovidhya, a fugitive in a 2012 hit-and-run case, assistant National Police chief Pol General Jaruwat Waisaya said on Sunday.

What language will the letter be in, and how long will it take to make the *correct* translation??

Give a little bounty, then the paparazzies will find him in a few days, with photo evidence.

They can find people.

Then what can Thailand do?  Knowing which country he's in doesn't necessarily help the Thai police and photos of him definitely don't help.

Is he really on the Interpol Red List? I couldn't find him.

Apparently not, according to Interpol. If he was, he would be on the list

They're not all shown on Interpol's website; international police forces don't need to get their information from a website.

Ridiculous people! Send a letter? You send a delegation to the UAE Embassy, and with a confirmation that he is living in UAE also send a delegation to apprehend him in cooperation with the UAE authorities. It´s really sad when ordinary people like me have to tell you how to do your work, boys.

It's even sadder when you give incorrect layman's advice to the Thai authorities when you clearly don't understand how any process of getting him back here works.

You seem to assume that the UAE would want to co-operate with an "RTP delegation" in Bangkok and then detain Vorayuth in Dubai where he has committed no offences.

No, of course not. They just have that open register for fun, and only show the public that are supposed to report if they see any of the wanted people a small fraction of them.

That probably make sense in your world. Please do inform when you once again will enter reality. The only place you can enter without visa during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Yes, with the right kind of diplomacy they would do.

Is he really on interpols list, and if he was, he would be easy to track down by the paparazzi. I doubt that he’s been hiding in some palace on lockdown for all these years. He was in London a few years back and photographed.

Paparazzi have no powers to do anything and photos of him don't do anything.

Killed a police  man...drug  charges  ...

If they really wanted him  a reward  for  a few  million  would be posted world  wide

He would be found in days  ( However   took long time to find Ronald  biggs but he was  clever not an arogant rich  apendage!)

They  dont want to find him  too many will go under  if he  goes  down

Good Luck Thailand

Finding him is not the same as arresting him and getting him to Thailand.

  • "He said the RTP has not received any information from the 194 countries that are members of Interpol after a Red Notice was issued a couple of weeks ago. "

Just completed a search of Interpol Red Notices, see hereunder, and there is NO red notice, so more lies by the RTP

Not every notice appears on the website!

The Foreign minister of the UAE:
Who?

Vorayuth?
No, we don't know that person.

We will ask the other Thais who are here.
Don't call us, we'll call you.

HHMMMM  just did a Red Notice search for him and there were no results to show. Maybe using an assumed name huh.

Hmmm...maybe you should remember that ,no matter how many people search the Interpol website, that's all it is, a website and not every Notice is shown there because member police forces don't need to get their intelligence from websites!
