Ridiculous people! Send a letter? You send a delegation to the UAE Embassy, and with a confirmation that he is living in UAE also send a delegation to apprehend him in cooperation with the UAE authorities. It´s really sad when ordinary people like me have to tell you how to do your work, boys.

Yes but you are missing the point of them sending a letter, it takes time, give the little p+++k time to up sticks and vanish elsewhere.

What???? Are you saying that yet another envelope has changed hands, Colin? ????

On the other hand, you are probably right. These guys are so dumb, that they would not even succeed to <deleted> it up without clear instructions and a little harmless incentive.

This means nothing. UAE is a despot nation, and they will hide, shelter, or protect anyone with wealth. Morality is never a consideration for them. There is no extradition treaty with Thailand, or the US, for that matter. Helps them to protect the Thaksins, and the goombah Yoovidhyas of this world.

Thailand has never been serious about getting either of these guys back here. The red notice means nothing. There is no intent behind it, and most nations do not honor Thailand, nor it's government. The lack of law and order, and a free, open, and fair electoral process has it's price, in world politics.

No respect. Period. Ask, and you shall not receive. Be serious, take yourselves seriously, behave like serious people governing a nation properly, and there is at least a chance others will take your seriously, also.

By the normal standards of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), a recent report into attempts by the United Arab Emirates to combat money laundering and terrorist financing is damning, to say the least.

The report highlights several major weaknesses in the UAE’s anti-money laundering framework. Not least, a chaotic approach to registering companies, making it incredibly difficult for law enforcement to find out who is actually behind a suspicious company registered in the Emirates. Ludicrously, 39 different registries operate across the seven Emirates; our research shows that the only effective system for tackling financial crime is to have a single, central register.

did anybody ever thought/believed Prayut would want him back 555... accepting the 300 million donation from Red bull make Prayut's complicit (conflict of interest)

https://www.khaosodenglish.com/politics/2020/07/29/govt-denies-helping-boss-red-bull-escape-murder-charges/

What conflict of interest?

A report published earlier this week also revealed that the Yoovidhya family has donated a sum of 300 million baht to the government and the police.

Quite right. Here is how it works:

1 - The investigator in charge dictates the letter to a police clerk who types it up on a 100-year-old manual typewriter;

2 - The letter then needs to be signed by the investigating officer before being submitted to the police chief for endorsement; which of course can take about 1 - 2 weeks as the police chief always is busy practising his golf game;

3 - The letter then needs to be translated into English, which takes between 6 and 8 weeks;

4 - The English translation must be signed by the investigating officer and endorsed by the chief of police; another 2 weeks down the drain;

5 - A low-level office is dispatched to go buy a postage stamp, which will take him at least 1 day;

6 - a committee researches the actual address of the authority in the U.A.E. to where the letter is to be mailed; time effort: 3 months;

7 - It turns out that the letter's weight is too high for the postage stamp, necessitating another trip to the post office; chalk down 1 more day;

8 - The letter is finally delivered to the post office and sent on its way, taking about 3 days to arrive in Dubai;

9 - As it turns out the U.A.E. addressee has moved to another location in the meantime, with the result that the letter is being returned to Bangkok as "undeliverable"

10 - repeat steps 1 to 8

A well known politician who they did not name appears to have offered assistance.

I don't think it is too difficult to deduce who this is, there is quite an elite Thai gathering in the middle east these days ....LOL

And the police can say that they tried, and did all they could.

Does Dubai have an extradition treaty with Thailand or not.  Not sure they do if Thaksin is still there under the watchful eye of the Emirates.

Dubai doesn't have treaties with other countries. The UAE does though!

The country of Thailand is suffering, people have no jobs, money. People die on the roads every day and they are worried about this stupid rich boy!!! Leave him alone. He is never coming back to Thailand.  Help Thai people please. Pattaya, aonang krabi, phuket, Samui and Bangkok are suffering...

This whole thing is so much BS he’s not on the red list a red notice he was speeding really fast no he wasn’t speeding really fast too many people have received brown envelopes TIT

Nobody is going to the UAE without an appropriate UAE Visa! They certainly ain't gonna let some Thai cops turn up and wander around at will.

You seem pretty clueless on the mechanisms of diplomacy and law enforcement. So I doubt anyone with an ounce of sense would take you advice on how to do their job.

If somebody stuck a ring in his nose & did bring him back it would just prove embarrassing for all.

Just hot air to make it look like justice is being chased by the authorities.

The Thong Lor Commissioner must be keeping a very close eye on developments

Is he really on interpols list, and if he was, he would be easy to track down by the paparazzi. I doubt that he’s been hiding in some palace on lockdown for all these years. He was in London a few years back and photographed.

Did the see him high on coke and DUI in a red Ferrari?

I bet this is fake news.

Poor Boss must be confused as hell as he paid off all of them and they are chasing him still to this day...

Did I say that they should let the Thai cops turn up and wander around at will. To me the only one that seems clueless is you regarding reading and understanding.

If you are going post slur that I have not been mentioning in a reply to me, please refrain.

Is he really on the Interpol Red List? I couldn't find him.

The on-line Interpol Red Notice List only shows some of those for whom notices have been issued, currently over 60,000 notice valid of which just 7,333 are list for public viewing.

It is up to the requesting country as to whether a notice should be included in the public viewing list.

And to top it off, they will return the letter by ????

Boss will have Thai people caring for him wherever he is, in the UAE these workers are paid a pittance so hopefully one will spill the beans

Yet another kick to that can.  Keep kicking that can down the road.

But now the backlog of STV visas has finally cleared surely he can now go to the front of the queue and can be expected any day now ..?

RE - “We want to confirm with the local authorities whether he is in the UAE or not. If he is, we will coordinate with them to extradite him to Thailand so he can face trial,” he added"

* Coordination/extradite/trial - They have already proven and that to the fullest multiple coordination failures, extradite failures and trial failures so the only thing they for sure will achieve is continously failures where loss of face seems to be non-existing when big brown envelopes changing hands - a realy sad and shamefull never ending story ...

I mean really who cares

...he is in Dubai counting his massive wealth...ok, so now what?
