Unable To Receive Calls Or Sms From Overseas Dtac

Featured Replies

Anyone else having problems? I have DTAC prepaid sim, works fine when called from within Thailand, but when people overseas call me they get message saying "number not in service" and sms messages fail to be delivered as well.

Any ideas?

Are they dialing the correct number, dropping the initial zero after dialling +66 ?

For example +6681442xxxx (xxxx being the last four digits of my mobile number).

Yes, have double checked that. it happens to peole calling from HK and UK

I seem to remember some dispute on interconnection charges where a certain group of numbers were denied some services supplied by a company other than Dtac. I believe these numbers were recently issued. Anyone else familiar with this?

Is this still on going? I am with Dtac and have sent a number of overseas SMS's which usually get an instant reply, but I am beginning to wonder if the silence is related to this is anyway?

Since when? Was working fine for me last week up until yesterday, (with HK)

this has been happening to me for a good while when friends and family phone from the uk

but its more of 1 day they cant get through and the next they can bit of a hit and miss to contact me which is fine

if I send sms it gets through OK. If someone replies to that sms i get the reply ok

But, an unsolicited sms does not get through.

I'm having the same problem getting in touch with my girlfriend in Si-Sa-Ket, I call the 011-66 and then her number, then I get a message from the Thai operator, stating that they are having problems with the American connection, in the past the only time I had problems was when it was raining too hard, and I could not get through to her cell phone, anyone know what is going on?

I have a US to Thailand calling card, I started having this problem a few days ago, still no luck getting through, I don't even know if she is getting my text messages. It states phone conditions having problems with American phone connection. Anyone else having the same problem, calling the 011 66 number. I work in Iraq, and just started having this problem a few days back.
