Hosting

Featured Replies

Anyone out there have company preferences for hosting? We're talking small business here. Nothing extravegant. US or Asia or elsewhere? Asia is cheaper, but is US more reliable? If the site is hosted by a US company, do your operations fall under US jurisdiction?

Directions to websites of good companies that can offer hosting services is appreciated.

Check out 3ix.org. Great deals on full featured hosting and the James there is a superstar.

Generally servers in the States are what you want. The problem with internet in TL is the pipeline from here to there is constricted. If your hosting servers are over there, most people won't be affected, just you when you try get your mail from TL. :D

Not that bad most of the time, actually. :o

Can vouch for Ubergnome kind words, excellent support from the 3ix people!

Still experimenting with all the included toys(loads of usefull scripts included)...

Here's another vote for J's 3ix.org!

Excellent speeds, immediate e-mail or phone responses and even free(!) special solutions, not matter what the hours are.

Been on the net since '93, but was never as pleasantly suprised as after evaluating 3iX.org for 2+ weeks.

Of course, this wouldn't have happend without this wonderful BB. :o
