But as he announced it as his deal and a great deal for the UK; as he fought and won an election based upon it, as announced the signing of it with much fanfare and as he rushed the Bill through Parliament: I have to wonder why he now reckons it's so bad. Was he lying to us when he announced and signed it; or was he merely incompetent? There is also, of course, the damage his going back on an international treaty so soon after he signed it has done to our country's reputation. 4
