Security Stepped Up on Loy Krathong Night

 

 

BANGKOK, Oct 27 (TNA) – The Transport Ministry and the Marine Department plan security measures for public safety during the Loy Krathong festival, which falls on Oct 31.

 

Deputy Transport Minister, Athirat Rattanaset met with representatives from state agencies and the private sector to map out safety measures at landing piers along the Chao Phraya River and locations arranged for public members to float their Krathong (banana leaf vessels) on the water.

 

Safety equipment in response to an emergency will be prepared and the Marine Department set up the command center at the department’s CCTV control room.

Shouldn't people be discouraged from going? After all, it seems like this will encourage large crowds and there is an emergency decree related to Covid19 in affect at the moment.

So understanding that rain diminishes the affects of PM2.5 does that mean Pryut ordered the use of water canons for the protection of his little children while out on the streets protesting his leadership?
