More than 40 hurt in Thailand's most violent protests since new movement emerged

BANGKOK (Reuters) - At least 41 people were hurt, some with gunshot wounds, when demonstrators marching on the Thai parliament clashed with police and royalist counter-protesters, in the worst violence since a new youth-led protest movement emerged in July.

Bangkok metered taxis can now charge special fees for luggage

The Transport Ministry has announced that as of Tuesday, Bangkok metered taxis will be allowed to charge passengers handling fees for large luggage items, but not for equipment such as wheelchairs or walking sticks.

Cabinet sets aside Bt6 billion to buy 26 million Covid-19 vaccines from AstraZeneca

BTS to BMA: Give us Bt8-bn train operation fee or we will stop running Green Line

Bangkok Mass Transit System Pcl (BTS), operator of the Green Line train extension section (Bearing-Samut Prakan and Mo Chit-Saphan Mai-Ku Kot) has submitted a letter demanding that the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) settle train operation fees amounting to more than Bt8 billion of the extended section, which has been open since 2018, Bangkok Governor Aswin Kwanmuang said.

Govt aims to issue Bt100-bn savings bonds next year

New Student Loan Fund borrowers may not need guarantors
