This I can agree with, if he had performed even semi-decently and lost 2020 as he has now it could have given the kick in the butt politics needs. As it stands, IMO, the old guard have no reason to change, if anything, he's set starting decent reform back 2 or 3 election cycles.

At least Trump was/is one of the rare POTUS who keeps up a kind of independent way of ruling. Trying as much as possible not to be the poodle of the establishment like Big Money and the Militairy Industrial Complex (MIC).

Establishment for whom some former presidents (Wilson and Eisenhower I believe) WARNED in their farewell speech.

Wouldn't be surprised if he will say something similar when his time comes to say goodbye.

Not really a Trump fan but I respected him for that and by seeing his successor, I pity that he probably will not get the chance to finish the job to drain the Swamp.

I not see him run for POTUS in 2004 because the momentum is lost then.

Lost Chance.

Hey! It's not like he would have decided to give tax cuts to the rich establishment, nor that his foreign policy would have been biased towards autocratic regimes because they are big arm buyers (I.e. S.A. and Emirates)! ????

Will this internet malarkey ever end?

Well..according to the Rev.Creflo Dollar it will end in the "rapture" and (of course) the purchase of a new jet airplane...

Vote for Dollar next time..Trump has a stricture.

Ah "Riclag"..I admire you for nailing your colours to the mast long ago..and sticking by them come what may...whether I disagree with you or not.

However you are intelligent enough to understand (as we all know) what "I am not really a Trump fan..." actually means, don't you?

Vote for Dollar next time..help him get a new jet airplane.

He hired people who have since been jailed. He sure likes to surround himself with felons.

Disclosing secrets to russia which israel was not at all pleased with.

Mexico still hasnt paid for the wall, but it doesnt matter as he didnt build it.

Obamacare wasnt repealed and replaced as promised.

He forgot to lock up Hillary.

But at least his daughter got some nice chinese trademarks and Jared got his debt taken care of by qatar.

Hmm, I think that the tactic of introducing as many of his family and cronies into "the swamp" in the hope that they could drink it dry was basically flawed!

A post with false and unsupported claims about Joe Biden has been removed, along with multiple replies...

Re the original post: Continue with such unsupported, unproven claims, and you'll face a suspension.

A slightly disconcerting thought, but in the scenario which you outline Trump could (yet again) have ended up as president yet have lost the popular vote by a significant (5 million or so) number of votes!

Yes, indeed.  Luckily, he's a moron.

His tax bill. Created big deficits for no good reason. Promised to result in big increases in business investment. Never happened. Instead companies used the cash for stock buybacks. Before the Reagan administration this kind of activity was illegal and rightly so. It's stock price manipulation. Oddly enough that tax bill especially favored certain classes of businesses more than other. The 2 most advantaged were pass through partnerships and real estate. Guess what Potus has the majority of his businesses being  pass-through partnerships in real estate?

And because those companies spent their money on stock buybacks, when the covid crash hit, they had little left to see them through. Paging the American taxpayer.

It seems Republicans are, as we say in Germany, not the brightest candle on the cake.

So half think it was rigged. They would be the ones who thought grade 1 in school was the best 5 years of their life.

"Half of Republicans say Biden won because of a 'rigged' election."

The other half couldn't hear the question because their heads were too far up where the sun don't shine.

The other 50% didn't vote, they've been cheated.

What makes me suspicious are people raising doubts about the legality of the election and hinting at a conspiracy so big it boggles the mind that they even entertain the idea.

In other words; you're suspicious.

Two things.  The voting patterns make one suspicious.  As mentioned you have a president who received more votes than any sitting president in history and still was not re-elected.  You have a candidate in Biden who was so lackluster that he could not even win his own parties nomination twice in the past but now suddenly he garners more votes in history than any other candidate including the wildly popular Barack Obama.  At the very least it deserves to see whether there was or was not some manipulation.  The use of between 75 and 100 million mail in ballots in a country with only 330 million total people again makes one wonder.  In the past there has been evidence of ballot harvesting which in many states is illegal.  There has been incidents where voters were induced to vote a specific way by promises of money, liquor, drugs, cigarettes etc.  While those practices are illegal the shear volume of mail in votes makes the "possibility" that they were used since poll officials have no way to monitor that.  If there is no evidence than fine, however if there is evidence of some misdeeds that should be corrected otherwise the entire integrity of the voting process in the USA is forever destroyed.

You're talking about millions . They can't possibly that many nuts. It is not as if voter fraud hasn't ever happened. I remember the mayour of chicago stealing enough votes to get Kennedy elected.

It's called voter turnout, which is not a problem in countries that make voting compulsory. Biden beat Trump by 5.5 million votes because the voter turnout was also one of the highest in the history of the USA. The last time it was above 70% was 1900.

No conspiracy about the number of mail-in ballots, in case you haven't noticed there is a pandemic in America, and people with brains ( i.e. the ones not attending Trump rallies ) were limiting their risk of contracting COVID-19 by avoiding polling stations.

60 year old evidence of modern day corruption. Very compelling.

Under the circumstances a record high voter turnout was expected and a good thing.

Regarding the rest of your post; speculation is not evidence.  All past studies of mail in ballots show almost no fraud, certainly nothing that would change this election outcome.  Without evidence of fraud that would change the election outcome, Biden wins and Trump needs to stop disrupting the transition of power.

Trump lost.  Republicans can either accept that or undermine democracy.  Many are choosing to undermine democracy.
