Apologies for ambushing this but a related question, so hopefully not an affront.

 

I will be 66 next year so qualify then for the UK pension.

I want to ask if there is any specific time/timing  the " proof of life" form is issued ?, as I am out of the UK now and could well still be when my pension is due to start.

They should write to you about four months before you are due to claim, then you have to get in touch with them. I would imagine that claiming the pension would persuade them that you're still alive.
