Do they know something who has not been communicated ? So in 2021, no expensive ASQ quarantine, no quarantine at all, no expensive insurance, and no blackmail with Sras-cov-2 virus obligation... the only one way to get tourism back in Thailand.

This is Santa Claus bank ? Do they also give free loans ?

Or maybe they ow a lot of money to other banks...? And they need to keep the dream afloat ?

All this sounds like Titanic, the orchestra still playing while the boat is sinking....

Maybe this bank (like many others...) should be avoided untill we see the 7 millions tourist....

i thought Thailand said they will have their own vaccine? ????

I did write about chinese vaccines, because they have already 5 different ones and another 5 in the pipeline.

Since June they have vaccinated their army. Shortly after also civilians, for example medics, working in town services, workers and students going to highly infected countries. Now altogether probably some 1mln people.

Thailand has signed agreements with producers of 20 vaccinations, that includes with Britain and involving British Embassy. Thailand is going to make them, pharmaceutical laboratories and factories are already assigned and production lines set up.

They are also saying abiut their own, sometimes half of next year - but better not.

In addition they will spend a whopping 340 to 480 billion baht in the country.

I happy that they said they predict these outrageous numbers of people but the money they are suppose to spend roughly 68,571 baht equal to ($2,287USD) per person. I can see them spending that much or more if they are staying more than 30 days, but I doubt they get 7 million as long as they have the 15 days of quarantine in place.

1. Quarantine for 15 days

2. Food and drinks during quarantine
3. 100,000 UDS insurance

4. Hotel or resort cost for additional time in Thailand

5. Food and drinks

6. Bar spending

7. If it’s Chineses they will be under package deals for their stay and believe they will made sure they don’t spend 68,000 baht.

To put the predictions in perspective less than 1000 tourists have visited the country on the much criticized STV visa scheme since October.

This 1000 are people that actually have property and business. Plus 1000 isn’t a faction of 7 million. That money they spending, help who? What percentage of hotels? What percentage of employees? What percentage of businesses?

You know what, people are still playing the numbers here in Thailand. When nobody win that money, where does it goes and what percentage is given to the poor, tourist industry, hotel industry, and etc?  That’s the question of the day?

Well they do specialize in collecting tourist dollars, so maybe they have some skin in the game of supposition just like TAT.

Irrelevant they like the rest of the gov have no knowledge of western people and wouldn't have a clue. Lost in space. Dreamers. Wouldn't even know what China thinks either complete space cadets.

Just who I ask when wanting to know future tourist numbers.

Was it from a bank manager, or one of the motorbike taxi guys waiting outside?

No, I think it was the banks accountant

No I think it was the Banks accountant, 4.5 to 7 million tourists will spend 300 to 450 Billion BHT

How much is that each? 6.42857142857 each by dividing 4.5 billion by 700 million.

So they must be all going to buy condos.

Or buy up all of the mortgagee properties from Kasikorn bank.

I new Kasikorn would sell these one day, whenever I wanted to buy one they were overgrown and priced off the market.

Regarding the STV tourists, the STV would be fine except if you leave your country voluntarily you have to buy a special fare back and pay for quarantine. So you get hit both ways for quarantine.

Interesting article about ivermectim on DR Circus's latest news letter well worth the read just google it.

You tube has taken down a doctors report about this, and in Dr Sircus's latest letter there is a link to it and another video made in front of the Senate by a leading Dr representing a team that has presented studies and trial results to the senate.

He says this drug stops covid and has higher success than any vaccine, if given to patients with advanced disease they recover in five days.

The trouble is it is very cheap and the NHI are not acknowledging studies (about 20 cents a dose) it is an old well known steroid type drug and this group of doctors say if you recieve it before covid you don't get covid or pass it on just google Dr Sircus and read the latest news letter it says the world is being run my out of control pharma companies, we are being held to ransom

So 2021  ...  7 Million versus 40+ Million 2019  ......

that should be a joy to all " closed & bankrupt business "   ......

HCQ + Az + Vitamins = simple solutions , but  NNNOOOOOOO ,

that's the cheap solution - Big Pharma don't make MONEY  !!!

I would add : REGENERON .... All should be O T C  ( over the counter )

And you think I would like to have 2 weeks stuck in a hotel room in solitary confinement, if they gave it to me for free?

The first thing that everyone searches on Google if they want to travel internationally (many still don't), in lieu of going through a travel agent, is: what countries are open for tourism, no quarantine.

I agree with you 100%!

The point I was making that in their (TAT/Gov't) blinkered state, they still think that Thailand is the "be all and end all" of tourist destinations. They can not understand why any tourists would want to go anywhere else except Thailand for a holiday, and that they should be queueing up in droves to "jump through their hoops" in order to holiday here. It is indeed inconceivable to them that tourists would WANT to go anywhere else but Thailand, and actually think that said tourists ARE not concerned about the strength of the baht, or the fact that they are being forced to stay in a hotel not of their choosing for two weeks. After all, they still have a week left to travel, and see the "proper" Thailand! ????

The human 'death' toll in Thailand is just over 60, no?

That's since Covid started, not per day !

less than 4k infections and 60 deaths out of pop of approx 70 million !!!

If you want to believe the figures minus the excess deaths from pneumonia be my guest.  I would like to be able to see the entire statistical database again which shows all of the deaths, but alas it has been hidden by MOPH.

Like the Chinese, you can't believe Thai numbers

the mistakes from the west was to test everyone and report the real numbers,

do the Chinese way, and act like nothing happened

actually there was a far more robust pandemic in 1968/1969, the HK flu that killed millions over the winter in Europe, and it has been completely forgotten
