That is why the UK has put forward and taken such a hard line deal on fishing, I'd be extremely surprised if UK will move at all on what they want.

The EU proposal was an unreasonable one.

What is unreasonable then in the EU proposal: equal playing field. As the EU cannot impose later an anti-dumping measurement, when the British give huge tax or other benefits to exporting co's, labour laws a joke, waste : dump it in La Manche or the North Sea, problem for the other side, the EU wants to have a stick to hit back.

Fishing: honour the rights sold by the British to EU fshermen, sometimes decades ago.

  • So no deal then.

"know." ? .. there is a chance till 31 Dec 20 23:59.... every normal thinking person knows...  Chance maybe close-to zero, but that's another thing.

Remind also, Merkel is an impertant member in the EU council, the ONLY place decisions are made. Till 31 dec 2019 the UK had also a decision vote in that cremium. Now, Boris has to wait outside... talk with the president of the execution committee and does not get any from the EU council to speak.

You hear Boris Johnson today saying he is happy to go and visit Merkel or Macron. No mention of the Dutch, Italians, the Portuguese and any of the other countries. Why is that with all their EQUALITY:cheesy:

I actually think there will be last minute deal. I hope I am proved wrong. I want BJ to walk, WTO along with our divorce bill.

No matter what happens one thing is for sure. The UK will never be in the EU again. The arrogance of the EU in its thinking to punish the UK and even to demand an alignment. they just do not get it and never will, along with some posters. You and others see yourselves as EU before your home country. I and many like me see ourselves as British and never EU or anything European. Besides a few remainers most don't and never will and that's the bit the EU never understand and these talks just solidify that.

You have just wrote is what's wrong  " As the EU cannot impose later ".

UK wants to leave and have freedom, UK doesn't want the club imposing on anything the UK does.
