They will forever deny his loss. I saw an interview with a 45 supporting pastor spewing stupid, dangerous rhetoric from the pulpit. Paraphrasing to the best of my memory: "45 won by a landslide. We have no pandemic in the U.S.  I will not let anyone inject me with any vaccine. All we need is our bible and our faith in god." Ya think Fox/OAN or their type had anything to do with spreading this nonsense?

That was his last tweet about it. I am eagerly waiting for the next one! ????????????????????

Prediction time

Trump will not concede, He will leave the WH, but will make it sound like he is doing it even though he won, but the fight will go on. He will have his own "Reality" talk show. I don't think he will run again but will put his weight and his hard core followers behind someone of his choosing,

Well he was correct in two things SCOTUS  showed Wisdom and Courage and did its job by following the law and constitution. The system can be respected by those who want to be seen as supporting democracy, not authoritatrianism.

Melania can now call her divorce lawyers and file on 21st Jan 2021 for separation from the petty man

It's a shame there isn't a law making such false claims a criminal offence - time to change the immunity of a president from prosecution for misinformation, thereby putting the Rule of Law under threat

It's not out of the way.  Not by a long shot.  They will be trying to milk this for the next 4 years just like they did the birth certificate nonsense.  Their idiot supporters will play along as usual.

Not enough. I want to see him imprisoned and placed in general population. He will be beaten unmercifully every day until he dies.

I don't know if I would go that far.  Let's just say that I would have no problem unplugging his life support If I needed to charge my phone.

Congress.

By which I mean we can expect a challenge to the legitimacy of the Electoral College vote when it is presented to Congress in early January - the 8th?

The aim being to get the decision reduced to a "one state, one vote" ballot in Congress. He thinks he will win that.

He will have to broadcast that talk show from a jail cell wearing an orange jumpsuit that will no longer match his face or hair cuz you can't get those $70,000 do's while incarcerated.

Maybe Ivanka or her mother can give him a dose of reality, and tell him that by now even many Republicans are tired of his immature attitudes and the presidency is not a trading commodity as his failed business deals are. He can use th etime to actually learn to play golf with real players and no longer cheat at it

Do jails have golf courses?

Are all 75 million supporters idiots? Is it possible some of the 75m approved of Trump not starting new wars, or approved of his getting minorities off welfare and back to work? Or approved of him finally holding China to account? Or they are just idiots and that's it? Dunno man, seems it could be stereotyping, and could be construed as being a bit inflammatory.

75 million accepted his abhorrent behavior, innumerable lies, and inhuman policies, all of which cost American lives. In my book that's idiotic. Not all of them are stupid, but definitely idiots.

My condolences for your loss, reality will come to you after the denial phase, hang in there.

Texas filed a “reply brief” with the Supreme Court and they got a brief reply. Just 3 sentences of curt, decisive and speedy rejection. Most call this right but not the Trump’s fans here. It must hurt ????.

Ok, I hear you.  There are lifelong Republicans who voted for Trump.  There are people who held their noses and voted for Trump's policies, if not for the man himself.  They're not idiots...perhaps just misguided.

But now that the election is over and every major government agency have said that there was no widespread fraud, every state has checked and rechecked and certified their counts, every court has thrown out Trump cases for lack of evidence, etc., and yet, some Trump supporters still believe he won.  I'm sorry, but these people are certifiable idiots.

It is difficult to fathom for me how so many people voted for Trump in the election but the reasons you give likely contributed to the outcome.

This post election nonsense though is a step too far. People who support Trump through this have to be in my mind ill informed, lazy and or idiotic. Or they are people who know better but just cynically play along for personal benefit .

Yup, pretty much.  Hatred of liberals is all that’s left of conservatism.

"The Republican Party has proved that its hatred of liberals is so foundational that it will abandon any pretense of commitment to democracy, if democracy allows for the possibility that liberals might win an election."

I would post the link where I read that but they seem to like deleting any posts with links or attachments around here so I won't bother anymore.

I wondered about all the typos in this case submitted to the Supreme Court. Then I found out the lawyers were all 45 University graduates.

I wouldn't say the lawsuit necessarily failed. We won't know that until we see whether or not Trump pardons Ken Paxton, the Texas A.G.

I doubt he will, The SC decision puts an end to Paxton’s usefulness to Trump.

Trump will regard Paxton as a failure who let him, Trump, down.

The only people Trump will pardon are those who have dirt on him and a few who’s pardon might be regarded as trolling liberals or helping foreign enemies.

My understanding is he can't for what Paxton is being investigated for.  I think because he can't pardon civil cases and/or also because I think some of the things may be state charges.

It probably won't stop him from pre-pardoning him anyways just to gin up the rubes.

It annoys me that everyone says there was no major fraud that would change the outcome of the election.

In fact there was no fraud found at all.  Not a single case, not one vote found to be cast illegally.  At least I haven't heard about any charges filed anywhere for anything.  Have you?

I can understand how and why someone would vote for Trump.  However, I could never trust a Trump supporter with anything requiring character assessment of another person.

Troll graphic removed.  It is a discussion forum.

My view of their behavior boils down to this:

If Trump’s supporters wish to deny reality, swallow lies and fantasies and in doing so feed their own anger and anxiety, so be it.

Their well being, their choice.
