Losing is IMO the best option for Trump, whether he or his supporters realise it at the moment. The next 2 to 4 years are going to be very tough economically and politically. I don't envy anyone that has to deal with corona, huuuuge unemployment, political chaos etc.

Hopefully things will be settled in 4 years and Trump can stand for president again. In the meantime he'll be alerting everyone to every mistake the government makes. Not a happy prospect for Biden, having Trump criticize him every day. Even if twitter closes his account he can start his own on line tv channel. It's not like he'll be short of cash to do that.

????

He will have to court for tax and bank fraud, this will cost him a a lot of money. The Deutsche bank will get either 400 million usd paid back next year or they will foreclose on his properties. There will be loads of other state court cases be started from which he, his family and cronies can't get a pardon. It is over and out for this loser.

I admire your tenacity, even if it's aimed at a cancer-causing windmill.

A good example of the continuous drip, drip of poison into the ears of so many Americans who simply cannot or refuse to think for themselves.

Given woo his foreign friends are, it would be chump change for them to bail him out. The Qataris have already done it for the Kushner family.

There was no evidence presented.

How a suit works is to look at the evidence THEN build the case. No evidence, no case.  45 lost. Accept it. Embrace it. I honestly tried to swallow the bitter pill and give 45 a chance. We all now know how that went. Now it's 45 supporters' turn.

Thank you. A voice of reason, in the wilderness of bad and false information, believing a conspiracy just because HE said so, and clinging onto false hope.

The thing that is kind of shocking in all of this, is that Trump has lost 17 businesses, some of them were quite significant (with losses into the billions), he has lost 19 merchandising deals since taking the White House (every single one of them has bailed), he has lost money for the past two or three decades, he lost the trade war to China, and he lost the negotiations with Kim.

Now, he lost the election by 7 million votes! One would think he would be used to losing by now!

Best news I have heard in an age.......

The US Supreme Court has rejected a lawsuit backed by President Donald Trump to overturn Joe Biden's election victory, ending a desperate attempt to get legal issues rejected by state and federal judges before the nation's highest court.

Frivolous lawsuits are considered a criminal offense. They should proceed accordingly.

The Supreme Court showed some dignity and grace yesterday, and tossed this case out onto the street, like the piece of foul garbage it is, rejected it outright, and put Trump in his rightful place. As a sore loser of the election. Gone, baby gone. See ya Don!

Don's not gone, and IMO he'll be right there looking over Biden's shoulder waiting for the inevitable mistakes.

He may not be in the big chair but CNN is sure to be keeping him in the public eye. He's so good for their ratings!

He only has "friends" when he is in power and has money, he soon won't have any of it, why should anyone with a brain bail him out.

Frankly it wouldn't change anything, if Trump had had his day in court, and lost, many would simply believe claims that The Supreme Court had been taken over by "commies", that Hugo Chavez had somehow rigged it from beyond the grave, or (for the more intellectual - the idea does entail some quite long and complicated words) that the bench had been bribed with child sex slaves by a paedophile ring controlled by Hilary Clinton from a Pizza restaurant in Washington.

I expect dear old Rudy probably has the appropriate affidavits prepared already, signed and sealed in the time honoured tradition with a pool of solidified hair dye; unfortunately they probably refer to Washington Tyne and Weare rather than Washington DC, but don't let details get in the way of justice.

That loser aka 45 is gonna be SO busy fighting to stay out of jail that he won't have time to bother Joe. I don't much like Joe - he's just another old white corporatist in the bag for Big Pharma, but he does know how the game is played. 45 won't even amount to the significance of an annoying gnat.

Doesn't matter if he's in some rich person's country club jail, IMO. Electronic medium will keep him in the public's eye till he's served his time, and he can even be king maker if he's in jail during 2024.

CNN won't, IMO be giving up their ratings maker any time soon.

For someone who doesn't like Trump you are quite tenacious at supporting him.

This post is really strange, after you tried to convince us for a long time that Trump should be the rightful winner of these elections.

Unfortunately the SCOTUS did not make a decision, so the situation returns to what it was before ie 70 million + Americans believe the election was stolen, IMO. The SCOTUS refused to address the case, which means no opinion was rendered. Not a good way to begin a presidential term, knowing nearly half the country thinks he didn't win.

SCOTUS did make a decison, a majority one, by finding it was not within their jurisdiction to hear the case.

That is a decison

The decision being to uphold the Constitution which they swore to uphold.

Pretty much a decision

Possibly that loading the bench with people they thought they could control, (ethical persons as it turns out) was a wrong move :)??

Better we start referring to him as 44. The 44th worst in history. Beaten only by Buchanan or Harrison, as the worst ever. Take your pick.

My money's still on Hugo Chavez. Bad hombre (even if he's been dead for 8 years). Maybe a new conspiracy theory for OAN/Fox. Chavez is alive and well and has been seen working in a cantina in Caracas.

Actually, what the SC decided was that Texas lacked standing.  It would not have mattered if Paxton actually had had evidence of fraud in the four states whose electoral votes they were trying to block, because without standing a party cannot bring a case.

Yes, in fact, an emphatic, unanimous decision.

It wouldn't have mattered either way... Even if the SC had issued a formal ruling and elaboration on the case, people like you would and will continue to claim the election was stolen... because Trump will continue to claim the election was stolen.

Doesn't matter that there's absolutely no evidence or proof. Doesn't matter that federal and state elections officials across the country have said there was no meaningful fraud or illegalities. Doesn't matter that Trump and Co. are something like 1-50+ in losing court fights all around the country. Doesn't matter that Biden won the popular vote by 7M+ and the Electoral College by a substantial excess margin.

As long as Trump keeps bellowing his lies, people like you will keep echoing and believing them.

Just like the shameful 100+ Republican House of Representatives members who signed on endorsing Paxton's farcical lawsuit -- forgetting their oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution and their nation's laws and democratic traditions in favor of their fearful or deluded loyalty to a disgraced, autocratic loser.

It's him speaking as he always does in half truths or outright lies.

Yes, he got a ton of votes... But he also lost by more than 7 million votes. He lost in the electoral college by the same amount he boasted was one of the largest margins in presidential election history... It being one of the largest or even one of the larger victories of course was a lie, but if he claimed that 4 years ago, how can he honestly dispute it is true now? He lost that last election by more than 3 million votes in the popular vote, and it was more than 7 million this go round. Or the fact hat his margin of victory in the last election in those battleground states was slimmer than Biden's this year... But nobody contested the election, demanded recounts, and screamed fraud.

Yes indeed. There again, perhaps (just) it may be a sign that whatever their personal political views and loyalties the Justices have made a conscious decision to  administer justice without political bias. If so it would be the first glimmer of light after a very dark light!

This week’s state of affairs proves that America is a madhouse, and the media, Time Magazine and their ridiculous  “Person of the Year” selection included, are funhouse mirrors used to further distort our already deranged sureality.
a world reminiscent of Columbus falling off the flat earth...the many slave-minded, are simply too weak to comprehend the idea of fighting for our freedom.

He has taken in $250 million so far on peddling his baseless claims.  I think he knows what he is doing.

He has also quite well anchored his alternative reality in the mind of Republican voters.
