BS Monitor help

Featured Replies

No idea where to ask this, so please move to correct Forum

My BS Monitor came up with  E - 9  = not enough battery left

I have a brand new battery as a spare 3 V  CR2032  still in pack bought 3 years ago, bought when I replaced the now ? died /dying battery.

unpacked battery but still says E - 9...........  Do these type of batteries run down over the years ?

I do not live near any shops so have to make a trip, buy a new battery ? or will I have to buy a new Monitor ?  present Monitor is 6 years old = about 40 baht battery or 2,400 baht monitor ?

It is not something I can do without = I go by the fasting reading to amount of Insulin I take every day

To find a Accu Chek Performa monitor will not be easy out in the sticks  [just bought 200 new test strips + have 30 Insulin vials in fridge] so cannot buy the normal BS monitor that all the local area Pharmacys sell

Not sure what the question is, you suspect an old battery is flat, buy a new one, 7/11 sells them.

if a new battery doesn't fix the problem then its a repair or new machine.

If you are housebound maybe get some batteries delivered

The question was 'Do these type of batteries run down over the years ?' as it was brand new and never used in 3 years

Getting someone to take me = need to say where I will be going - 2 km to nearest 7/11 or 40 km to Nonthaburi area or try 1st 15 km to Westgate [Central]

How do you buy food or any other essentials?

Batteries here do seem to run down even when unused, maybe due to the climate

I would certainly try a new battery first - can buy at any 7-eleven

If you do need to replace the monitor you can order it for delivery from Lazada - no need to go anywhere

Panasonic claim that after 10 years on the shelf, their lithium batteries will still have 90% of their capacity remaining.

Yep thanks all, another new battery cost 16 baht + a reset, working fine again

So can answer myself a Brand new battery unopened for 3 years, could well be flat [no idea how long it had been in the shop before buying of course]....

Had made this post as thought maybe other using the Accu Chek Performa monitor, could have said if there monitor was kuput at 6 years old
