Upright Fridge Icebox Door replacement.

Featured Replies

I have two upright fridges and both have broken plastic icebox doors which means I have problems with Icing up/maintaining a reasonable temp.  I could seal the Icebox openings but then I could not use them.
Does anyone know where I could get replacement icebox doors in CM?

Any suggestions (constructive!) would be appreciated.

Suspect they might be able to fabricate something to work at a repair shop - if a new model sold here perhaps they could order part but would likely have to be imported and a bit costly - there is almost not much in the way of spare parts sellers in Thailand.  Again a shop doing repairs might be able to source from a broken unit if you are lucky.  Not being from CM have no idea where to find such shops but google maps might be a good place to start if nobody advises here.

Are the doors plastic ? Do you have all the pieces ?

What brand are the fridges? It seems sensible to get replacement doors from the OEMs.

Yes plastic but one is in bits and I have tried gluing, taping etc but the problem is the little pins/hinges have gone awol and have tried adding/making pins but can't get it to work.

You might be able to DIY using flexible plastic taped to the top which would allow you to lift to access if a better option is not available.
