I will try to forget it.

Thailand turning westernized? That's my not-so-private nightmare.

Bite your tongue!

If they turned westernised where the Thai road behavior and fatalities are concerned, I would welcome it, but we all

know that is never going to happen.

True, but that's like saying it would be nice if we could sculpt our personalities or DNA to be what we want.

Gotta take the good with the bad.

For me at least, there is more good here than in America.

Poor Thai officials being slammed all the time. I think the government should give them and itself a raise...

They deserve it considering all the bagging they get ????

I wonder if they thought about the fact that it might be partly their fault for being so relaxed about covid...

Compared to the highly educated western world and the couldn't care- less, don't tell me what to do attitude, the average Thai person runs rings around them so far as being aware of what is needed to keep covid 19 at a low level.

What does that have to do with what I have said?

Thai people have majorly relaxed their attitudes towards keeping themselves safe from covid, and that, no doubt, has had an effect on how quickly this new outbreak has spread.  The attitudes and behaviors of other countries, however, has nothing to do with this at all.
