Anyone have experience with varicose treatment in Bangkok

Featured Replies

Need to treat a surface vein which is in such condition that it need to be taking care off, from the info I found so far it seems that a stripping process is the best.

Any suggestion as treatment, cost and hospital would be welcome...thanks in advance.

my wife went to yanhee hospital. check their website to see, however, most hospitals will have a vascular department.

Hi Sheryl...I'll check it out...also I've the OSS can this being used?

Sorry I have no idea what OSS is.

Do you mean SS (Thai Social Security)? If so it can only be used at the hospital where you are registered under SS.

Little late to this, but: my former GF (52 years old) who I am still friends with has increasingly pronounced varicose veins in her legs.

She blames them for the frequent leg pain she experiences.

Do varicose veins cause leg pain or other clinical problems?  Are the treatments discussed in this topic merely cosmetic or do they have a health benefit as well?

Severe varicose veins  predispose to the development of venous stasis ulcers and also DVT. Venous stasis ulcers are very hard to heal and can even lead to loss of a limb in severe cases (more lilkey if the person is also diabetic). And DVT as mentioned is very serious.
