yesterday they said all non essential travel has to be stopped.

between provinces there would be police blockades on the main roads, but on the smaller ones the local authorities would set up check points.

is this what you think or you know this for a fact?

i did quote the government notice.

I did not travel, because of this notice.

no essential travel is barred in all thailand.

from the red zones special permit needed, quarantine 14 days (or on spot test)

Ok, thanks

But if there's no one checking i think travelling is fine, same as the previous time.

I will know tomorrow planning to drive to Udon Thani (120 km). From yellow through white to yellow (<10 cases, no case, < 10 cases).

I doubt that there is serious hindering of travel.

Should have heard it here.

Just the usual temperature check like in early 2020.

Maybe asking where I come from and where I want to go.

Thanks for the input, pls report back what you experience ( if you can be bothered )

Thanks.

Expect it depends on the provinces you will be traveling between.   I know as I've been driving around Bangkok, neighboring Nakorn Pathom province, and neighboring Nonthaburi province  over the last few days during the daytime I have not run into any active checkpoints.

As suspected.

I plan on going from Phetchabun to Loei to have a look at the new skywalk next week and don't expect any problems.

Thanks for your input.

I will tomorrow evening (if I make it to Udon ).

Short refiĺl stop.

110 km done from west of Khon Kaen through Nong Bua up to Udon.

ZERO active checkpoints here. Some unmanned roadside tents. Quick and easy drive.

Skywalk: make sure it's not closed. I don't know for sure.

Back home and the return trip was also uneventful. No checks/stops.

Traffic was light, malls in Udon not as crowded as on other Sundays.

No noticeable change compared to last month.

You went from Khon Kaen to Udon Thani and back?

From the west of Khon Kaen province (Chum Phae district) through Nong Bua Lamphu to Udon and back. Routes #228, #210.

NOT from KK city, #2 (Mithrapap).

There is no news that this would be different.

All around Udon business as usual since months (temp check at shops and wearing mask). Restaurants, bars, massage open.

Flying in 2 days from Chiang Mai to Koh Samui transiting for 1.5hrs through swampy.  Am I going to have to quarantine in Samui?  Getting mixed signals on this. I know I have to register on Mor Chana app.

Thanks in advance!

Just stumbled upon this:

https://forum.thaivisa.com/topic/1200907-registering-of-thai-visitors-on-koh-samui/

I suggest you put your question there.
