Italian woman had COVID-19 in November 2019, study says

Research based on skin biopsies supports thesis that virus circulated in Europe in autumn 2019

Giada Zampano   11.01.2021

ROME

A research by a team of scientists at the University of Milan showed that a woman in the northern Italian city was already infected with COVID-19 in November 2019.

The woman, 25, was affected by an atypical dermatitis, and a biopsy on her skin highlighted the presence of the novel coronavirus, said the study, published on Jan. 7 by the British Journal of Dermatology.

That would make her "patient zero" of the coronavirus outbreak in Italy, which has been one of the deadliest in Europe.

Italy were not testing until late February and by that time it was out of control.

The Thais were on to it early, testing in January, when they detected the first case outside of China.

Presuming this  is a retrospective analytical  finding from samples kept from this Italian  patient it could be  quite embarrassing  for the blamers  who have so consistently  pointed  at China as the  source  rather than  consider  China as the initial epidemic that  evolved into a pandemic .

It has been discussed on this forum a few times that it quite likely that Covid 19 was spreading through Thailand for quite a while before the first official case was announced. Chinese were flocking here, many from Wuhan before even the Chinese themselves knew about it.

It would only have taken a few visitors, suffering from a 'cold' or the 'flu' to kick things off.

I remember Arnie had a battle with Sub-zero one time.

I have a friend who visits China frequently for business, and will be in the Wuhan area almost each time.

He returned from a trip not long before Christmas 2019, and complained about a very bad cold.

Some suspect that covid19 was doing the rounds in Bangkok as early as November 2019.  I was certainly caught up in something nasty while staying in a hotel.  It started to resemble a chest clinic.

The hotel started to resemble a chest clinic? Strange symptoms indeed.....but, that's Covid for you!

Except for the fact that satellite analysis shows the very likely possibility that the virus was already an issue as early as August 2019 in China. The fact that the CCP is actively stonewalling any real analysis of the origins of the pandemic likely means we will never have a definitive answer to the question.
