Relatives of an old lady who was beaten up earlier in the month went to the media after police in Samut Prakan failed to make any arrests.

Samniang, 73, said that she was looking after a neighbor's house while they went out to eat with some upcountry visitors.

Two men passing on a motorcycle stopped - there was a large guy in a full face helmet and a smaller man in a balaclava.

They demanded money. She said she had none.

Then they demanded keys to the house - she said she'd didn't have them as she didn't live there.

When the smaller man grabbed her by the throat she kicked out - she was sitting up higher on the house.

The man doubled over then punched her twice causing her to fall to the ground.

She was then kicked and dragged under the house where she passed out.

The attack happened on the coast in the Bang Bo area near the Thai Rath School.

Samniang said it was lucky that tide was out or she would have drowned.

When her neighbors came back they took her to hospital where she stayed for the night. She then reported the matter to the police but they have made no arrests.

She feared that the men would come back and she would be killed next time.

That’s terrible you think these police would do something and then again I guess if the coppers don’t get any money they don’t really care pity TIT

An eye for an eye comes to mind! I hope they catch them and do beat the living you know what out of them!

Quite a few, now, more than ever, desperate for cash, Society is becoming even more violent since Covid.
