Linksys Spa 3102

Featured Replies

Hi,

I picked up a SPA-3102 thisaft and have it working perfectly with the VoIP & Receiving calls from the PSTN. Im finding it impossible to get so much as a dial tone for out going calls thru the PSTN though. Anyone had more luck?

Thx

I have a Linksys SPA-3102 connected up to an Asterisk server routing PSTN into and out of my VoIP network.

The 3102 has an FXO port and im only using a single line so the Asterisk server really is over kill. I'll keep in fiddling with it :o

Well I've previously also used it to connect upto Sipgate.co.uk if you need help. What are you trying to do? Have a PSTN fallback if SIP is not registered?

I'm just trying to get a press 9 for outside line type thing working..

I have the VoIP working satisfactorly & I can accept incoming calls from the PSTN. The problem im having is making out going calls on the PSTN, I just cant get a dial tone or make outgoing calls even if I disable line1. The only settings I have changed @ this stage were the VoIP providers subscriber information.

I've tried this string in the Dial Plan (<#9,:>xx.<:@gw0>) on the end of the defalt Dial Plan on line1 and by itself, with and without the comma in both cases. But I only seem to get the "re-order" tone. The re-order tone comes up instantly after pressing #9 with the comma in the string and after about 7 seconds without the comma in the string. Even if I disable line1 alltogether, still no PSTN dial tone!

The funny thing is that if I reset the SPA-3102 with the phone off the hook a dial tone comes up and it allows me to make a call through the PSTN so im assuming its not broken. Once the 3102 is rebooted, no dial tone again tho!

What ya thinkin?
