Old Laptop Battery

Featured Replies

I have a 5 year old Compaq laptop with a dead battery. What is the best place in Bangkok to buy cheap batteries? HP/Compaq is asking 8,000 Baht for a new battery, almost the value of my computer.

Pantip Plaza are good for batterys. I found one foe my old Sony, but I didn't think it was worth it due to the age of my laptop. It was around 3000 baht. My laptop is almost 7 years old.

There's a couple of places in fortune town that will re-cell your existing battery, try the top floor :D

Thanks for the information :o

Are you sure it is the battery?

A few years ago I bought a new, expensive battery, only to find it was the charging circuits and I had wasted my money. :o

I used to own a 2nd hand laptop shop back home and this is the best option. it is the cheapest way and exactly the same effect as purchasing a new battery. It is what I do, except that I repack thebatteries myself saving even more.

You can buy a new laptop for 15,000Baht - 8,000baht for a battery is piracy
