Popular Post webfact
Latest immigration busts: Guinea soccer player snuck back after blacklist, five Indians caught by BMW smartcar Picture: Naew Na Thailand's chief of immigration Lt-Gen Sompong Chingduang gave a press conference to announce the latest arrests of foreigners, as reported in two stories on the Naew Na site. In the first case a footballer from Senegal called Mr Sall aroused suspicion when he went to extend his visa in Sakon Nakhon in the north east. The biometrics system flagged him up as a person of interest and soon it was discovered that his fingerprints matched those of a man from Guinea called Mr Tassirou. It emerged that Tassirou had been caught on overstay and had been banned for five years from 2018 to 2023. But he had wanted to continue his football career so he had gone to Senegal and got a passport in a different name with a different date of birth. Picture: Naew Na In the other cases the famed BMW smart cars and biometrics were credited with the arrest of five Indians caught on overstay "all over Isaan", said the media. They were as follows: Ram, 34, on overstay of 2,161 days caught in Mahasarakham. Devanand, 53, 998 days, Mahasarakham. Ashwani, 22, 905 days, Mahasarakham. Rajendra, 24, 1,121 days,Khon Kaen, and Avadesh, 25, 853 days overstay caught in Kalasin. All these arrests were part of policies to keep Thailand safe, said Naew Na in their standard rhetoric. -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2021-03-11 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates

khunpeer
how does the "smart BMW" work? how did that car spot these Indians? this could not have been done just by checking files/arrival-cards? I mean if overstay then several bells should be ringing at Immigration?
