easy way to open bank account visa exempt
Would appreciate some input as I have a friend visiting from Europe, he wants to buy a condominium unit, already found the place but he needs to have a bank account to transfer funds to complete the purchase, must banks he visited they keep denying him the opening of an account, he has sales contract, wants to invest the money but it appears Thailand doesn't want money, what's the easy best bank to deal with in such a situation -

Advise on declaring income tax on rental properties abroad?
Dear Fellow AN members, I was wondering if anyone has experience or knowledge of expats declaring personal income tax here in Thailand (PND94 - midyear + PND90 year's end) on income derived from rental income from properties abroad? Assuming you are tax-resident (by default of 180 + residing in Thailand) and have 'earned AND send this 'income' into Thailand), during the same tax year when being a tax resident in the Kingdom of Thailand. Seems there's no distinction made regardless of this is rental income derived form property within Thailand as opposed to property located abroad. Rental income under the revenue act 40(5) as defined rental income, requires as well additional filing of mid-year tax return (PND94) in addition to the standard (PND90/91). Anyone's take on this is much appreciated. Cheers, FB -

The former minister is wanted for corruption in construction of the Waterfront Suites and Residences in Pattaya in September 2008........... Itthipol was culture minister in the second cabinet of former prime minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and is also the younger brother of former Pattaya mayor Sonthaya Khunpluem. Itthipol, 50, was Pattaya’s mayor when he helped grant permission to Bali Hai Co Ltd for the construction of the Waterfront condo project in September 2008. -
