Hi

I applied for UK student visa. But unfortunately it was refused. The reasons that were outlined by ECO:

(a) My IELTS score was 5.5. He said that it is not enough for MBA degree.

(:D My financial guarantor's bank statement is missing. (Although I gave it).

I didn't appeal. Now I am planing to reapply for UK student visa. I hope this time my IELTS score would be at least 6. My question is:

(a) Can I change my financial guarantor? It was my uncle but he has used the money that I showed as FDR for study purpose and another uncle is willing to sponsor me.

I did B.S. (Comunication & Information Technology). If I change my sponsor will it be a problem for getting visa since it is second time and UK high commission has all my details.

Please help me .... :o

Sanjoy,

The immigration rules require you to demonstrate that you have access to sufficient funds to take care of yourself and pay for your tuition fees. The money can come from either your resources or those of a friend/relative, and, providing that the person you're presenting as your sponsor does have the available funds, it doesn't matter that you now have a different one.

Hi,

My girlfriend was recently granted a student visa. She has an offer letter from a full time english course in preparation of taking a ielts exam. She also had a conditional offer letter from a pst grad course that stated she must achieve 5.5 in ielts exam.

The visa was granted for the period of the english course and she can extend if she gets the required ielts score.

I think if you have offer letters from university and clear funds from your sponsor you should be ok.

You should complete the student questionnaire and also think of reasons why you want to study in england and not thailand, mainly you can say that by studying in the uk you will become fluent in english which will help you secure abetter job on your return to thailand, my girlfriend also included some thai job adverts for good positions and companies that require post grad qualifications and english to support her application.

I agree with Scouse, if you have offer from university and sufficent funds from your sponsor you should not have a problem, as long as you are a genuine student you will be fine.

Good Luck

Hi gino

I have got queries for you. I would like to know whether you have submitted explanation of going UK for a master degree on a seperate paper or on the visa form. Is it the second time your GF submitted visa application or the first time? How she had formed the letter (i.e. all the things were being included). Please reply.

Thanks :o
