Hi,

Despite sending a comprehensive bundle of documents via Royal Mail "International Signed For" for my TG's forthcoming VV application, the envelope appears to have gone astray somewhere in Thailand. There is no quick way of tracing the item, so I am faced with re-collating the documents, sending again and hoping for the best. Obviously this further delays the Visa application, so is not exactly ideal.

Does anyone have a better and proven method of sending documentation to Thailand ? If so, how long did it take to arrive ? Alternatively, does the Visa Application Centre accept fax or scanned copies of bank statements, passport, pay slips, phone bills, mortgage statement, sponsor letter etc ? Just a thought.

Thanks again.

Sorry to hear they dissapeared, they will only accept original documents or certified copies and since the originals are gone, you cant get the copies certified.

You'll need to get on to your bank and your employer and have duplicates made up for the lost items.

I dont really know of a safer way to send them to thailand, I've never had any problems myself

Goodluck

Send them by DHL or any other courier. Besides their normal offices DHL have desks in branches of Staples country wide. They have offices in most large towns in Thailand and deliver to the door. The cost of the an A4 size standard cardboard envelope is ยฃ30 to Thailand and takes about 3 days.

I frequently send packages to Thailand in the course of my business, and have always used international signed for. To date, touch wood, I've not had any parcels go astray, but it is a possibility that lurks in the back of my mind. I've so far been reluctant to use the likes of DHL as I absorb the cost of using the postal service, but would have to charge clients the cost of using a courier.

Scouse.
