Thanks again maxpower and crossy. ????

Decided to remove the cover of the SafetyCut, but no need as the module that controls the leakage trip is removable. So just unplugged the module, simulated a power failure and the SafetyCut didn't trip. Good start. ????

Now I've got to work out what I've done. Have I disabled the breaker as well? Don't think so but to me reading the Thai is not clear so need to look up some words in their context.

I'll post the Thai language in the language forum while I'm working on some words.

From photo It appears Safe-T-Cut is using a standard shunt trip.   Remove cover and observe connections to the bottom of the trip.    Disconnecting one of these connections will di

If there is easy access to the shunt trip connection use aux relay (transfer switch in generator position) to do this :-

Looking up some initial house wiring notes done around 2015, I've got a note in 3 that says 'remove the link between neutral and ground in the consumer unit.'

I'll have to check on this as we have power pole's neutral earthed every second pole, and I think for that arrangement the earth strap should be in.

I think the advice at the time was if you're not sure, leave the strap out, but if earthing every second pole, put the neutral/earth strap in.

From a Google translation:

'Warning!  In the event that RCBO is removed, the machine will not prevent electric shock, electric leakage will protect only electric shock and overload, DIT OUT.'

DIT OUT is 'only'.

So now I need to get my RCB's in replacing standard breakers.

I already have all the shed (pumps etc) on a RCBO.

So I suppose the circuits for 2 kitchens (have the fridges and reverse osmosis water maker) for a start.

So now I have the trip mechanism out, could I possibly take off the cover and wire it so that only 2 or 1  poles of the RCB are sensed, and see what happens?

After I check the CU for the link between N and E.

Nice result ????

And yes, you have only disabled the RCD part, the MCB overload section will still operate.

Anyway you do NOT want a link N-E after an RCD/RCBO that will cause all sorts of problem tripping.

Ahhhh yes, i remember now about the earth after the RCBO, thats how the electrician wired it.
