Those fellow TV members who live in Phuket or those who have stayed here before I need your assistance - I have some mates (a couple) coming out in Aug/Sept this year and they were looking for a nice hotel in Karon Beach. They came across this one on the net and they asked me if I know it or any of my mates knew of it. Can't say I have, but I figured someone who is there can stop by and check it out on my behalf if possible. Basically see if it's clean, safe and relatively good place to stay...if they book they will go with one of the suites.

Brit, I have heard that the rooms are quite nice. The restaurant (Karon Cafe) is great with excellent breakfasts. It is located close to the circle in Karon about 10 minutes walk from the beach. The soi that it is located in is rather vibrant so if your friends prefer something quieter than they should consider looking elsewhere.

There are so many options readily available in August so perhaps it would be better for them to rather book on arrival. At least this way they can see what they prefer.

Haven't see the rooms but they do a top notch buffet breakfast. I some times go out of my way to head down to Karon just for that.

The people are friendly and the place is very clean and presentable. I'm sure it will make a fine guest house four your friends.

Great food, good rooms and very well managed and run establishment. The owner of Karon Cafe also has a Mexican restaurant in the same street called Margaritas (or Margaritaville, can't remember) and owns the Pacific Club Phuket.

Eric is the owner of Karon Cafe, Margaritas, and Pacific Club. He's been around Karon for a long time and I've been eating at Karon Cafe for over 10 years. By far the best value for money breakfast that I have found on the island. The rooms are better than most budget guest houses. But you have to think that it's a small (2 shophouse units) size place on a rather busy side street. Well managed, clean, modern, fridge/TV/aircon/internet, and about 5 minutes walk to Karon Beach. I for sure recommend this place.
