Immigration latest: Foreign/Thai cocaine gang busted plus Chinese scammer arrested

Thailand's immigration chief Pol Lt-Gen Sompong Chingduang gave details of two criminal cases involving foreigners and a Thai.

 

In the first case Farook, 25 from Uzbekistan, Nadee From Nigeria, aged 32, and Suntharee, 40, from Suphanburi were arrested with 4 kilos of cocaine. 

 

Farook had brought the drugs from Ethiopia then gone into quarantine at a hotel. 

 

When he came out of quarantine the other two were waiting to meet him and all three were promptly arrested, reported Daily News

 

He was due to be paid hundreds of thousands of baht for bringing the drugs. 

 

A man called Christopher, 38, who was part of the gang was also arrested at a house.

In a separate case IB police arrested a Chinese national called Jiang at business premises in Pracharat Bamphen, Huay Kwang, Bangkok with fake electronic cards.

 

He had skimmer machines. He admitted buying data from the internet then putting it on cards in order to buy brand name items like bags and clothes at department stores.

Can the police only arrest someone after they create a big colored board with photos and many arrows?

It reminds me of caveman drawings.
